I'd argue that markets are the means which would control the press.

It doesn't

Newspapers across the country failed
NYT failed, but was bailed out by a MExican citizen
WaPo failed, but is kept afloat by Amazon
Fox crushes MSNBC and CNN put together, yet somehow they financially survive

It's a new order in American news. The news? is propped up, so they can serve the globalist agenda. Not because they have a marketable product rooted in truth

So where is that same oversight of the press?
The public thinks that since they've been granted a license by the FCC, everything they say is true. They wrongly assume that somewhere in the licensing process, there was some type of integrity vetting or they took an oath to tell the truth.

The media has had a free reign and gone unchecked for decades... since 70's. How they "write and report" the news is very similar to the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies.. there are many very close parallels that we have witnessed and if you don't believe it you are not being objective.

For decades, now that we are in a 24 hour news cycle, they are taking facts and twisting the facts as "political opinion" and having that opinion appear to be factual. As the CNN producer said on the undercover video.. It's all about ratings and $$$..

Every time the POTUS sends a public tweet , it weakens the national media just a little more.
