Disagree. A majority of Politards oppose the militarization of law enforcement, warrantless spying, interventionist foreign policy, and corporate welfare. Those were all considered liberal positions just 10 years ago.
So what we're really seeing is how fascist the Democrats have become.
As far as the upvoters, I think there are several different kinds. I would guess it's a combination of lib lurkers, lib trolls supporting each other, and conservative and libertarian posters upvoting lib threads as a joke.

I very seldom up vote or down vote in any thread. Those who do post in the thread it becomes obvious where they stand. The vote process allows the lurkers to participate without posting.

It's especially played out when you consider that S.E.C. Crazy and KCT are just as shitty of posters as Rex, and they don't get a fraction of the shite that Rex gets.
