When do you guys think the next collapse will happen? I am starting to think that it will happen very soon.

If it does happen where are the best places to move to?

Paranoia.

Economic collapses are, for the most part, someone that affects the margins.

At the peak of the most recent recession, the unemployment rate was 6% higher than it is now.

That means that in any room with a hundred people, 10 were unemployed at the peak and 4 are unemployed now.

A net change of 6 people in a room of 100 people is not a "collapse". It is a marginal issue.

Never. We'll have trump til 2024 and then Pence for two terms, and then we'll have Donald junior, and then the first woman president ivanka, and after all that winning it will be barrons turn

Liberals will be the boogeymen that our great grandkids don't believe us about by that point

Do you mean a real collapse/crisis, or an ordinary 6 to 9 month bull market/20% correction? Because we're way over due for the latter - I think will start this Holiday season and finish up next Summer.

A real "collapse" will be event driven - a major conflict or major industry sector shakeup. That's way, way tougher to predict.

What's Ron Paul's cell number? I'll give him a call. I see him predicting this all the time. Has been for three or four years. He's bound to find that acorn sooner or later.

Can't really predict exactly when, because it will almost certainly be similar to the Great Recession - some sort of rapid devaluation in a heavily securitized market (like subprime housing in '07) that will lead to investor panic and a deflationary spiral. Those sort of collapses are fueled by 'animal spirits' and are thus difficult to predict with certainty.

The only problem is that I don't think we will be able to use the same tricks we used in '09 to get us out of it.

Best place to move to? Probably best to stay put. If it's no worse than 8 years ago, you'll be fine. If it isn't, it may not matter.

Anyone with a red crayon can project that the DJIA will be fall back to its historical curve at some point.

Last week Bloomberg made a persuasive argument that this will happen soon.

Considering how the sheep can create a gas "shortage" in Dallas because they saw it on Facebook I'd say whenever the string pullers want it
