They had a WH ceremony for Kang George but could only muster a tweet at 845pm EST about the 78th Anniversary of D day. My grandfather who landed at Utah beach and fought across France and Belgium until being wounded during the Battle of the Bulge is rolling over in his grave.

My Grandfather stands on my desk. I see him everyday. He went in at Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was wounded at Nancy, France.

Love you Pop.

The media and the left have pushed aside the real heroism of June 6th in order to push the false narratives of January 6th.

Very nice Lucky Tiger…and he was a handsome guy. Great pic.

My deceased FIL landed on Omaha Beach at Point du Hoc with the Rangers. He never talked about it until right before he died. Absolutely incredible stories of that day. He went on to fight at the Hedgerows, Battle of the Bulge, etc. heavily decorated guy but never talked about it. He came home after the war, had a beautiful family and was a high school principal. His PTSD was experienced in his dreams. Horrible and frequent nightmares, but he was a happy go lucky guy that loved life.

You know that at LSU for this summer semester, students will have no classes on the Monday following Juneteenth, but they did have class on Memorial Day.

It’s gives me a good feeling to know they were there, near each other, and now we are here, discussing it and remembering them.

What men they were, and will always be.

My great-uncle was backing your grandfathers up from the sky. He flew two bombing runs on D-Day. The first run hit fortifications on the beaches. The second was a railroad marshaling yard in Le Harve.
