LOL.

This whole board is so delusional.

Finally captured this guy, which they have been clamoring for for the last 18 months, complain it took too long.

Nothing the President does will satisfy this group.

And back to an earlier comment, the "lack" of security is well tread territory. The diplomatic mission technically met the minimum security requirements. The State Dept. is working on adjusting policy regarding security requests and such.

And those four men are technically dead. They knew and stated that the minimum requirements weren't good enough for the situation.

Uh huh. Oh. Hmmmm.

Reportedly.
quote:

"What he did in the period just before the attack has remained unclear. But Mr. Abu Khattala told other Libyans in private conversations during the night of the attack that he was moved to attack the diplomatic mission to take revenge for an insult to Islam in an American-made online video," Times reporter David Kirkpatrick wrote in a story on Khattala on Tuesday.
Oh really? Is that so? Sounds legit.

Susan Rice, Hildog, Barry and his henchmen have been redeemed at last! They must've cut a sweet deal with him quite quickly to sell this narrative.
Sell what narrative? Obama, Clinton, Rice could stand in front of a camera and claim that the attack was in retaliation to the terrible 3rd season of the tv show Heroes and the comment would be just as valid as the claims here.

All I've heard from the Obama pundits on tv this morning is that the WH needed the time to make a case against him.

this is probably true.

They needed to find enough 'evidence' to support the video-based causation and not have to address the planned attack situation.

It's tough making deals with these terrorists.

less than 24 hours after his capture the NYT reports he said it was the video.

It's been over week since bergdhal was released and we haven't heard one word?

So the NYT is getting info from the military about a prisoner but not about bergdhal.......hmmmmm

One of the reasons I consider this to be nothing short of false information.

You actually believe what they are saying in the OP? I think this "scandal" is blown way out of proportion, but if you believe that "news" report, you are WAY too trusting.

Why? What evidence can you produce that this story is anything but accurate? Are you claiming the NYT reporter is lying or that the NYT is publishing the administration's lies? Is your belief based on anything beyond your own subjective dislike of the NYT and/or the current administration?

It wouldn't be the first time. NYT admits to pushing fabicrated evidence.....

Their only evidence involves the term "reportedly" and unsubstantiated claims that this man supposedly said it was about the video.

Why must I prove them wrong? It should be their job to prove the story is factual.

The second one most likely.

My beef is that I don't trust the government in many situations. Why should I trust them on this when their only evidence is "well, he told us that when we captured him"?

I've never seen you on this board before. Maybe you read it a good bit, I don't know, but it seems that you know nothing about my personal opinions in regards to this administration and our media in general.

How does this relate to the current article? Same reporter? Same issue? Same administration? Or are you implying that b/c the NYT published false information in the past, that its entire work product is suspect indefinitely?

I don't think anyone would claim the NYT is infallible, but to just dismiss anything they say as propaganda w/o a shred of evidence seems radical and unserious.

To make claims that consist solely of "they said that he said" and assume that they are automatically true is naive at best.
