What's your response if someone asks you to recognize your white privilege?

Personally I'm just gonna laugh in their face and tell them I recognize it. Then ask them now what?
These people need to be met with trolling more often. I find it shuts them up quicker.

I just mention how my white privilege purposely didn't get me a scholarship and I starved for the majority of college working 50+ hour weeks.
When I was declined for the same scholarship people below me in my graduating class got, I met with the financial assistance dean to find out why. She point blank said you're too white and too male. Sorry.
ETA: I probably ignore it.

The reason privilege is an issue is because those who don't have want and they want but refuse to work for what the privileged have....those who profess such a position are a sad lot, pathetic.
I am privileged because I get what I want but don't do everything I want to do.
It is not about stuff, though they believe it to be but rather self-discipline which is a foreign reality...better to live in La La Land than to confront one's own failings and I know I am correct because people come to America everyday and benefit.

I can't fathom ever getting asked that here at home in Louisiana. I don't doubt it happens elsewhere in liberal areas. My SO and I are headed to Portland next month for a vacation. I sat down with her and had to go over a gameplan of how to respond to people we may meet or get approached by while there. I don't want to give off any conservative vibes around those liberal hippies. I will bite my tongue and fall in line. It's not worth the hassle.

Whoever downvoted me, screw you. Have you guys seen the Portland protests there? It gets violent.
Not to mention they recently had some crazy frick stab and kill 2 people on a train there. Guy was berating 2 Muslim women on a light rail train and 3 guys decided to take up for them and tell the dude to sit the frick down (something I could see myself doing). Dude proceeds to stab each of them and kills 2.
My pride isn't worth getting attacked by these crazy assholes.
