Not at all, he did excellent Monday.

Saturday may appear to be the worst day of his presidency, but Monday looks like it was his best.

And that incoherent rambling he did last night destroyed all that goodwill.

And the other side (alt-left antifa) has a history of violence was dressed in black, faces were covered, carrying communist flags, shields, and bats. So yeah, maybe it was a good idea to figure out what happened before making a definitive statement.

Look, if you want to defend commie scum, go ahead. I don't think Nazis or commies or worth defending. The 1 exception is that 1 side had a legal permitted right to protest and the other showed up to stop them. I'll defend freedom of speech every dam time against violent oppression.

Nothing, but he didn't truly wait on the facts. He made a statement the same day...then made a more direct statement on Monday, then yesterday says that he doesn't want to make "that direct of a statement" without knowing the facts, in regards to what he said on Saturday. He made a mistake by speaking about it on Saturday if he didn't know all the facts (which he admitted) and should have just said that they he's still receiving information about what happened and will release a statement later.

He's already said that he denounces racism of any kind, so I find it perplexing that the public and media want him to continuously denounce specific groups. If I were him, I'd just refer to previous statements every time something like this happens and say his stance will never change on hate groups and violent protests. Hell, I'd love it if he just busted out his phone or a tablet and just played a recording of him saying that very thing when being asked for these types of statements in the future.

And the peace loving Antifas came with flowers, guitars and songs in their hearts, right?

Nothing.

Trump is right. Both the neo nazis and alt left are bad. Both came to this incident prepared to fight and both got what they wanted and the story is no bigger than that.

Media is biased as always. End of story.

Agreed. Was not intended to be a peaceful protest, the left knows this. Both of these shitastic groups have each other.

Secondly where the frick did all these Nazis come from? That had to be all of them.

Rambling...ok. But incoherent? I heard his message loud and clear. Violent protests are bad of any kind. There were well behaved people and violent people on both sides. Both sides share some responsibility for the violence.

Yep I was actually driving and heard what he said on the radio, he singled out each group and denounced racism. He must have to do it everyday, I mean why not if people want to act like 4th graders treat them as such. Now kids dont forget I denounced the KKK already.

Yes, purging books and statues are just like Mao Zedong did organizing communist China. Otherwise "societies in China since about 10,000 BC. were kingdoms, empires, and even a period when China was a capitalist republic."

That's why President Trump sounds like the only person with any sense, and sanity. Oh yes, and everyone else of the left wing political persuasion keeps using the crutches of victimhood for their own political ambitions. Nothing but hypocrites of the worst kind.

I'm smart enough to be able to criticize both sides here. The enemy of my enemy is often not true. The White Supremacists are violent as well. I will denounce both of them and say that this incident is the worst America has had to offer that I've seen in my lifetime. They are both great threats to the stability of our democracy.

These are homegrown terrorists on both sides. That riot will only drive more people into both of their arms. People who identify with their white identity will go over to the Alt-Right after seeing the shite Antifa has been pulling off. On the other hand people who identify with other identity politics will think there are far more Nazis and White Supremacists than there are and join the violence of Antifa.

Sorry if I'm not going to give Nazis the benefit of the doubt here. They should be able to protest, but what the frick did they think was going to happen once they brought 500 people bearing torches screaming "Blood and Soil", something completely treasonous I might add? They were looking for a fight with Antifa, and boy did they get it. If it weren't for Antifa and I could protest peaceful, I'd protest those assholes, and I totally condemn all sides for this shite show.

That riot was simply shameful in every sense of the word, and it embarrasses me as an American.

Most of the posters here have done just that. No offense intended but how art must one be to critize both sides?

OK, so just because I denounce the Nazis as violent savages means I think Antifa are peace loving people of exceptional moral character? No, they're shitty fascists as well, only they want to force the government to ban speech they don't like and make sure that all races get the equality of outcome. They are both my enemy, and I will fight both of them every step of the way.

When talking heads across the networks start name dropping and saying that Steven Miller and Sebastian Gorka are white nationalists I'm convinced there's a blast e-mail that goes out.

And that's what makes this riot even worse. More people will join Antifa thinking there are far more Nazis in this country than there actually are. The same will occur with the Alt-Right in response to Antifa. This was a major loss to every sane person in this country.

He is expected to make a statement without facts like Obama did oh so many times. Appologozing to the families of Alton Brown. Bashing police officers. And lets not forget the Beer Summit.

But the media had jizz going down their pant leg every time Obama spoke so they didnt pay attention then.

Two posters on this thread alone have pretty much accused me of sympathizing with Antifa, and many others on any thread I come out against the Alt-Right. Yes, most posters have, but there's a very vocal minority here who still defend the Alt-Right.
