Liberals did this toward the end of W's second term.

This is true. Insanity isn't reserved for conservatives alone. They were crazy with the thought Bush was going to manage a 3rd term.

Adding equal circus for liberals:

This is at least the second "Obama is going to declare martial law" offshoot thread I've seen in the past few days. I posted extensively in the other one where a good number of posters "took the bait".

Didn't see that one. But, this one is a bit sparse, you'll have to admit.

The other one went multiple pages and had multiple discussions going.

I'm holding out hope Big Sway will come through for us and share his thoughts

Now Boosie you know I'm too big to fail you on that.
I'll just keep drinking the wine and roll with the party till it ends. Just like the rest of Washington D.C. .

I would like to believe no sitting president would do such a thing, but there no harm in being prepared for it (ammo, food, water). I would not consider myself all that much paranoid, but it doesn't hurt to have a back up plan. Kind of like owning a tornado shelter, hope you don't have to use it but it is there if you need it.

I own a tornado shelter. However, the former seems like a bit of a waste to me.

If we truly fell apart as a country, ammo might be nice but food/water? Meh. That's just going to attract other people with ammo who want it. I figure the odds your food and water get you killed are probably on par with the odds they save your life.

Nah. I stock our shelter with food & water. I've only switched things out once and that's just bc I don't like water sitting that long in plastic. Watered my garden with it. Came in handy with the water restrictions we have. Restocked with more water.

True, like I said, I hope it never comes to that.
