Conservative/libertarian hybrid. Love most of Ron Paul's ideas.

Registered as Independent when I turned 18. I am a Constitutionalist. I hate both parties. Career politicians were never meant to exist.

I'm a moderate, but typically vote republican because fiscal issues are most important to me.

Hence, Trump must push for term limits and lobby reform

Ideology

We are inter-related.

Not-two = peace.

I dont identify with any party.

I am comfortably wealthy but i often vote for the masses sake.

No trump-could-care-less health bill worth piss after 6 years of charades. No one likes it. Does nothing to reduce cost of care. All they talk about is the cost of plans. Shame.

So many slimey crooks in the dem union alliance. So many black congressmen crooks.

Mercy.

I don't like mainstream Republican ideology, but I loathe the modern Democratic Party. My most fundamental belief is that almost anything the government can do, the private sector can do better.

In a perfect scenario I'd get to call myself a conservative, but the term has been so bastardized by various wings of the Republican Party that it no longer carries appropriate mainstream meaning. In calling myself a conservative, I get lumped in with the war mongering neo-cons, the sexually obsessed religious right and the completely nonsensical and impractical tea party.

I generally vote for republicans/independents except on the state and local level where I'll occasionally vote for a moderate southern democrat.

Anti-leftist, socially conservative, anarcho-capitalist worshiper of the God-Emperor ... I guess.

In Texas, I don't have to register. But, I'm an Independent who doesnt care for either established party. Do I think Dem leadership (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer) is EVEN WORSE than GOP leadership (Bush, Boehner, Ryan, McConnell)? Yes, but I can't stand either.

First and foremost, I'm a conservative. Secondly, an Independent. One of the reasons I like Trump is because he's the closest thing weve had to a 3rd party President in a long, long time. If you think I'm wrong about that, just ask yourself if you think Ryan or McDonnell really like Trump.

What this country needs is a Rand Paul, but he doesn't put on a show and talks way above the understanding of the average lowbrow American voter.

Trump isn't a conservative or a libertarian. He's an ardent big government nationalist and protectionist. I voted for him because the alternative was Clinton, but he certainly wasn't anywhere near the top of my list.

That would never ever get passes. I wish it would, but those career politicians in washington would never give up their power

I agree. Not that i didn't already know it, but one aspect of politics that really came to the forefront in 2016 was that it isn't just liberal vs. conservative ideology; it's also Establishment vs. Anti-Establishment. Something's wrong when people like Boehner, McConnell, McCain, etc. talk way more harshly about Trump than they ever did about Obama. I'd be willing to bet that all of the people I listed voted for Hillary.

Even the Bushes. Dubya spent 8 years telling people he wasn't going to criticize Obama. He's already broken that self-imposed vow several times with Trump.

The Establishment sticks together.
