Long before trump came along, free trade and immigration were hot political issues

Long before trump, police vs minorities was issue

Long before trump, we had culture wars

Somebody in another thread said Russia "told us what to believe" in the 2016 election

To me, saying that tens of millions of Americans were "duped" by Russia is a very anti-democratic sentiment. You are essentially downplaying legitimate policy preferences and concerns of voters.

The basic foundation of democracy rests on the idea that Joe Blow has a genuine ability to make good decisions for the nation

What’s hilarious to me is that the bulk of claimed Russian “interference” is simply bringing to light things Dems would have rathered kept in the dark.

Not even lies. Just a straight up exposure.

All Americans fully supported open borders, muslim migrants, abortions, the banning of hate speech, physically attacking those with different political stances. And that fact that all white people are racist..

Then those damn Russians came along and brainwashed us. Now we don't fully support those things. It's concerning.

The assertion that Russia influenced and affected the election through posts on Facebook and Twitter is fricking absurd, retarded, moronic, and pathetic.

But the Dems keep beating this drum, like the retarded, moronic, and pathetic losers they are.

Assuming they did anything (and I'm not), it would have only been to take the already existing divisions in America and give both sides more equal footing in the public media.

Kind of like when the French assisted the American colonists against the British.

You are assuming that they tried to influence the election for Trump, when it is clear that they already had a working relationship with "her". U1, $500K for a speech, the dossier. Why would they want Trump? The only influence attempt I am aware of was Russia spending $100K in advertising on the web - much less than Pillsbury spends trying to get people to eat Poppin' Fresh. Are you eating Poppin' Fresh? I'm not. I expect the Russians did not influence me if Pillsbury didn't.

Because Hillary was such an outstanding candidate, more experienced than anyone who has ever run for POTUS. She was so likable and told the truth.. there is no other possible explanation for her losing... said Pbhog, Cruiserhog, Lakeboy, Tarzana, and all the other democratic faithful..

You are downplaying an information warfare campign executed to perfection by a historical enemy just because you hate Democrats. Are you going to be just as indifferent if it doesnt benefit your team?

P.S the Trumpkins will never accept you. Stop it

Thanks for sorta proving my point.

You are blaming your party's loss on "information warfare", rather than on genuine policy preferences of more than 60 million americans.

It's insulting to a lot of voters.

Also.....if it was executed to perfection, why did she win the popular vote by 2%? Why did Trump collapse in many areas that have historically been either competitive or republican? My county voted for hillary by 8 points. It was the first time since 1932 my county voted dem.

I never blamed the loss on that. Once. Ever. But keep shilling dawg.

Its disturbing that they infiltrated our systems and information networks to influence the election in any way. The fact that this is even a controversial statement to you says a lot man. Wtf happened to you? You were one of my faves.

The Russians knew Democrats were so fricking desperate that they would violate the law and corrupt our institutions just to keep Donald J Trump out of the White House.

None. The handwriting was on the wall that the Republicans would take over after Obama, on the basis of repealing Obamacare. That might have been a noble idea, but the way it went down, you knew it wouldn't last the next term if anyone could do anything about it.

I actually have an interesting darkhorse for who sabotaged the Dems (specifically, who screwed Hillary over and stopped her):
Obama.

Seriously.

Obama didn't like her much back when they ran against each other. Always thought it was odd that he later named her to the Cabinet, I think he got outmaneuvered.

Look at this objectively- Obama was a pretty smart dude, the "let's sit down and drink a beer over this" event was a brilliant move, made me give him kudos for that. He generally said nice things about America, gave a "positive futures await us" series of generic speeches.

And yet- about the same time the Clinton machine was steamrolling through the Dem's campaigns (stacked against Bernie the Nut), and with CNN successfully ignoring every Republican politician EXCEPT Trump, things started happening.
In a normal world, the experienced Clinton blows out the goofy outsider Trump with his reality TV history and outrageous past. But the world wasn't normal- we had race riots erupting, and for some reason the Dems were openly endorsing the agitators. Stupid political move. Next, we have the Dems trotting out illegal aliens and parading them across the stage. Another incredibly offensive move to the swing vote. Then we have the Dems start strong-arming states over... transgender rights.

The list can go on, but the point is- for some odd reason, the Democrats were losing their fricking minds on extremist issues that were certain to offend the mainstream, while going into a fricking election. Every time a sane person would say "this is bad, but - Trump, I dunno, he's tacky, he's out of his element", something else would happen, and it came out of the DEM camp when it did. Like someone was tweaking things, putting more and more out there, until you just COULDN'T go Clinton, no matter what.

Who knows? Barry is out of the game now, he's got no reason to play. He's a retired 2 term Pres. He won't be a governor or senator now. And I don't think Clinton can get to him anymore. And maybe he saw enough of her to say "nope, not if I can help it".
