I ignore the media as well. Netflix is far more entertaining than watching the news, and ESPN's non-live programming hasn't centered on sports for nearly a decade now. Stop watching, its really, really, really easy.
All of the information that you want regarding sports news is available online in a more accessible, more direct, and more effective manner

The NFL has 2 options.
Tell the racist, unpatriotic, police hating player to toe the company line, on company time, and on the company stage. And allow them to act like arses on their time and their stage.
That is, suspend kneelers from 2 games and dock pay. Put this crap behind them and get on with the BUSINESS of football.
Or cave to the small number of arseholes and lose tons of cash from attendance, viewers, and property loses.

Empty stands, and low tv ratings. If that doesn't get them to separate politics from the game, maybe down the road, the XFL can become a viable competitor.
