Went back and watched the press conference

Actually twice. What did he say that was so incendiary? He said that he condemns the White Nationalists, Supremacists and KKK . He also said that the guys on the Alt Left (Antifa) came to provoke violence and were acting in a violent way. Said the guy who ran over Heyer is a murderer
Also said that there were people their who were simply protesting the taking down of the Lee statue and the renaming of a park.
Am I missing something....where did he say he was down with the Klan and White Supremacists
This narrative being spun by the press and is nothing more than a fantasy and an outright fabrication.

Did I miss the seminar on the special code language that is out there regarding how to interpret this kind of stuff. I thought Trump was pretty straightforward.

You missed the meeting between the left and the media on what their fake story would be about what Trump didn't actually say.
That was the most factual, balanced press conference given by a POTUS in quite some time, and those assholes spun it because he wouldn't take their bullshite or give them the sound bytes they wanted. Period.

It's not the words that were the problem. Obama could've given same news conference and it would have caused thrills up reporters legs. It was the evil and former President Trump that spoke the words so he obviously was promoting racism and bigotry. Wait my bad---- he's still POTUS.

It's dumb, but what people are salivating/crying over, is when he said that there were good people protesting the removal of the statue next to the kkk/neo-nazis.
Instead of reading that as "there were normal, non-racists out there peacefully protesting the statue removal", they spun it like he said "there are good racists out there."
It's exactly what they did with the campaign speech about Mexicans sending their worst.

The answers to these appear to be very subjective. I think you'll get different answers based on political party, age, color of hair (blue or regular), etc.
