I don't recall him attacking Bush for that but it's possible. Others did. The man was on a one month vacation leading up to 9/11.
He said he assumes he did. So I assume he did because pretty much every liberal attacked Bush for taking vacations.
Now, are we supposed to believe that he, all of a sudden, has had an epiphany and has realized that Presidents do need time away, and it just so happens that one of his guys is in office?
What a freaking joke.
Bush on vacation = outrage.
Obama on vacation = leaders need time away! So shut up!

Obama is a very, very poor excuse for a leader
It is unrealistic to expect otherwise.
He is not a natural born leader ... I think that much is evident.
But, in addition, he has no training or prior experience that could have assisted him in his current duties.
Biden said during the Dem primaries way back when that Obama was unqualified. Biden was correct.

Van Jones actually had the balls to say, on live national tv, that Obama hasn't played anywhere near the amount of golf as Bush did when he was president
They'll defend this guy to the grave.

Do you lead from behind also?
Is it tougher to lead from behind or be in front of the problem.

Don't really get the whole "Bush worked more!" argument. Yippee, so it took more work for him to be an equally shitty President!

Obama is not a good leader.
The sooner democrats admit this to themselves the sooner we can start having real dialogue...
For now its defend and toss rhetoric

Obama is a dumb POS.
Billy Burton is a dumb POS.
All liberals are dumb POS'S.
'Bout wraps it up.

Never said he was a strong leader. Simply addressed the content of the article. It is that simple.
If you want to talk about his leadership qualities, I would say they are negligible. He has not been through a series of crucibles that have honed and refined his leadership skills and made him into a man of character and determination. He is typical of our society where people are given faux accolades (he is an Ivy League graduate, et al) and somehow this equates to an individual being a great leader. No, what it equates to is that they are an Ivy League graduate. He seems often disinterested in the task of leadership, the nitty gritty of convincing people to perform tasks because they believe in his vision and leadership. He expects (in my view) that they will simply acquiesce in gratitude because he is so much brighter than they are (the quintessential elitist in my frank opinion).
As far as my own bona fides on leadership, will gladly outline them for you if you are so inclined. Mine are the final "three feet" variety where you cannot hide behind platitudes. You have to motivate people to get up and risk their lives.

Another simple truth is that if everything in the country and international affairs is hunky dory ... then pretty much no one gives a shite how much golf he plays, etc.
Like it or not, there are a lot of folks that are hurtin'... black, white, whatever ... and it pisses people off to see a girly man playin' the rich white man's game every other day.

Do you normally trail an argument looking for scraps?
I will gladly compare my leadership experiences with yours. Just say when.

My issue isn't with the taking of vacation(s), but the perception of these vacations. The Obamas have spent most of their vacations in Hawaii, New York City, Marthas Vineyard, Europe, Vegas, etc. All while he campaigned that the elite had too much.
Bush was "off" for 400 days and something like 380 of them were at Crawford.

Yup, running the W.H. operations from your ranch isn't a vacation in reality.

I really don't see why posters are taking shots at you when all you did was assess the article objectively.

KCT has had an issue with me since I pointed out a post that I thought went too far. I hold no ill will and hopefully they do not as well. If I understand their position, they see me as a compromiser with Progressives/Liberals. Fair enough. They are entitled to their opinion. I won't lose sleep over it.
The other individual? Just someone nipping at the heels with nothing of substance to add.
I stand by my comments.
