Weird: Gated street in front of Pelosi's mansion has been bought by a private developer

San Jose real estate investors buy mansion-lined San Francisco street
Tony Presidio Terrace had been auctioned online because of an unpaid $994 tax bill
Presidio Terrace is an exclusive enclave — the former home of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and the late mayor of San Francisco, Joseph Alioto.

Tina Lam and Michael Cheng are the proud owners of super-tony Presidio Terrace — the street itself, the parking spaces and sidewalks, the palm trees and garden islands, all of this just down the hill from the Presidio and near the city’s so-called Gold Coast. They purchased the block-long private street — everything but the 35 mansions that line it — for $90,100 in an under-the-radar auction after the Presidio Homeowners Association failed to to pay $994 in back taxes, penalties and interest.
It is “the most unique property I’ve come across, by far,” said Cheng, a real estate agent who focuses on investment properties. “I’m talking to my other investors and they’ve never seen anything like this — and they own some weird stuff.”
quote:
He and Lam bought it sight-unseen, he said, competing against 73 other bidders: “It was a pretty lively bidding. We just got lucky.”
And here’s the back story: The city’s tax office, the couple discovered, had put the property up for sale because the homeowners association hadn’t paid an annual $14 tax bill for three decades. All that time, it seems, the bill had been mailed to an accountant who stopped working for the homeowners in the 1980s.

Bring in some MS13 DACAs for some 'insurance' purposes.

Hopefully he turns the street into a sanctuary for homeless immigrants.

The potential here is unlimited

Houses there are over $10 million a piece. And they didn't pay a $995 tax bill.

lol I wonder if there are easements associated with the property. If not, youd have these rich folks by the balls

It includes the islands and middle grounds.

POTUS Trump should offer the buyers triple or quadruple for the property. Then send Pelosi a tweet: "Wanna block my agenda? I'll block off your road access!"

Great place to setup a rig and start drilling.

That's awesome so he owns the street. I would put the screws to these people...

Man I don't know what this guy's political leanings are, but he could inflict some serious damage to these people.

Doesn't the HOA have up to a year to pay the taxes and reclaim the property?
Or has that time passed already?
ETA: Thats how it would work in AL.

Rename the street trump Blvd. Install a toll road to fund the border wall. All fees for parking will go to it as well.
Make the toll house look like trump with the arm his arm with a thumbs up.
That would be amazing
Edit. Parking fees go to stopping voter fraud supporting voter ID

I might be reading the quoted excerpts wrong, but I don't think those listed politicians still live there.
Are yall just wanting to frick these people because they are rich?

It's unfair that some people can't afford to live there. The government needs to make half the houses on that street Section 8 properties.
