If they nominate Harris, they will lose, barring something so egregious from Trump that independent and GOP voters stay home in droves. They won't nominate Harris.

The DNC needed to reclaim the Midwest with a white, working class background male candidate.

Kamala Harris ticks none of those boxes.

I'd be afraid of a JBE. I'm less fearful of Harris.

Than harris? Yes, most definitely. But he is no obama.

Dems would be wise to pick hickenlooper IMHO. I think he would crush the R, assumign the economy isn't that great.

eta: add Booker or harris as the VP

yeah, it could. He has a good record though, and pretty popular here in Colorado. He is a bit more moderate than many dems, and has a nice folksy style to contrast from trump.

he is also known for being honest.

I might be biased though, although I didn't vote for him either time.

Donnelly would be the Senator I fear most from the current Dem pool.

I hope we won't make the mistake of electing a first term, junior Senator from California just because she acted tough in an intelligence committee hearing.

She was also AG of California, though I am not sure how much of a plus that is.

Still more experience than Obama had as a backbencher in Illinois and D.C.

Obama Lite is an obvious bullshite artist who will get smashed by Trump. Please nominate Booker as the demo candidate.

Well that is a lie. Most exit polls (CNN, NYT) had him near 30% of Latino vote. This is after he did all he can to piss them off.

Working legal Latinos align more with the right than the left. That block will never approach the % AA voting block that keeps the Dems in the game.

If the economy is moving, the Latinos will vote Trump. They are good people not looking for a handout, they are just looking for jobs. This is an unknown concept on the left now and it did not used to be that way.

Yeah I just found out last week who she was. Its funny how they act like she's so well known.

Even funnier how they think she should be president. Yeah because the last afirmative action freshman senator we elected president just worked out so well...

Dems will carry Colorado, New Mexico, and Minnesota with almost anyone we Dems would nominate in 2020. And Harris would recover Dems who stayed home in Michigan and Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. She would carry all three of those states.

Ohio, Fla, and NCarolina...who knows?

Colorado

Gary took 5.2% of the vote there, I would not place it a blue state just yet.

Hillary had 54% of that vote, could she actually increase that??? Women were all in on her for being the first female POTUS, but women failed to look pass her issues to just vote for a fellow "vagina".

I think everyone needs to go review the demographic breakdown of the 2016 election before we crown the next King or Queen. Trump changed it all.

Make more sense.

She's not the dem nominee.
Trump may not last all of 2019.

He's in the news.

No one knows her.

Who would you vote for? "Anyone but him?" Those votes are hers and mine too if i ran.
50% of under 26 want him impeached now.

Want a black woman president with less than a year in senate? Lol. that is a non starter.

If trump runs, al franken will be the dem nominee.
