When you say leaker... Are you conceding that the emails released by wikileaks were received from a leak as opposed to a hack?

I don't know if he does or not. He does deal with highly sensitive info, so it's possible that he does potentially have details. We do know that he has an interest in the case, which heavily suggests Seth was a source. Too many coincidences to just dismiss it as a random act of violence.

Its also quite plausible that he was the leaker, he was the victim in a random murder, and the DNC conspired with the DC mayor and police chief to shut down the investigation in an inaccurate fear that someone on their team arranged it.

A leaker from within the DNC is by far the more simple, realistic, and plausible explanation. Certainly more likely than an elaborate Russians! conspiracy theory.
