Rod Wheeler, a private investigator hired by the Rich family, suggests there is tangible evidence on Rich's laptop that confirms he was communicating with WikiLeaks prior to his death.

Even though I am generally diametrically opposed to Trumpkins on this forum - if this is forensically confirmed - this would be a huge deal.

It is very unlikely it will be as Rod Wheeler is probably the same age as most of you, and has no idea what they're talking about when it comes to "the cyber". However, it would be interesting.

People should go to jail if that laptop is no longer in evidence.

The FBI has lost two computers in the past year that were being held for evidence. I have not heard of anybody going to jail for the one that was stolen out of a fricking car and the other that was lost in TRANSISTION.

Doesn't matter. You can bet Wiki has preserved their end of those contacts. Ya know, suicide prevention and all

But with Rich dead why hasn't Assange stated straight out whether he was the leaker instead of just making insinuations? If it was him I would think that anonymity died with him. Maybe he had co-conspirators?

Senseless violent crime afflicts too many in this nation's great capital. We have to do better.

I have 2 questions. First and assuming this random private investigator is right (which is insane since he has no seen the laptop or any evidence of his opinion) how does this make support the Pro Trump agenda? Second, how many of you will believe this without asking a critical question but simultaneously dismiss the media stories tonight about Trump leaking classified intel to Russia?

Of course, I think it's more likely a person botched a robbery and freaked out without stealing anything, than a professional assassin faking a robbery and not stealing anything to solidify it.

That would be a plausible explanation had Assange not made the comments he made. Assange is a smart enough guy that would be well aware of the conclusions people would draw from his statements.

If we took up a collection of say $10 would you delete your account? If not what would it take?

Aaaaaaand... the PI, Rod Wheeler, works for the television station that is running the story.

quote:

Rod Wheeler joined the Fox News Channel in October 2002 as the Law Enforcement and Crime Analyst and an On-Air Contributor. In addition to working for the Fox News, Wheeler is the director of security for asset protection and safety at The Global Food Defense & Asset Protection Institute since May 2015. His job there is to provide consultations and advice to the food and agricultural industry.

Rod's Bio

ETA:I'm not sure if this is the same guy. Would be interesting if it was.

Not asserting my beliefs either way here. However, if you check out what a lot of smart people are saying re: Russia weaponizing WikiLeaks - Assange making the comments he made makes a lot of sense.

I hope that Hillary gets personally tried for every single one of these murders and that Trump makes the jury trial one of those send a text in type vote ins on an episode of the apprentice

So then Assange must have details of the murder, if his statement negates the possibility that Rich was murdered for any other possible reason.

And if he has that information, what kind of person would withhold it?

The family could have gained access to his email accounts or they could be in contact with Assange. And that is obviously speculation on both counts, just throwing out plausible scenarios.

I'm on an interactive map and have went back all the way to 2010. Only murder in the Bloomingdale area since then is... Seth Rich.

So?
Rod Wheeler knows his stuff.
He's a respected former homicide detective with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington DC.
FOX brings him on when they need expert opinions on police goings on.

I encourage you to watch any of the numerous available video clips of his TV spots; he's anything but a political shill.
