‘It Was An Invasion’: How Hungary Managed To Erase Illegal Immigration In Just A Few Months

quote:

“It was not unknown what the most effective way to handle illegal border crossings is. Like it or not, and that’s the point we always make, there is no more effective way [to stop] illegal border crossings than building a physical barrier,” Kovacs told TheDCNF. “You might not like it, it’s not a nice thing, but … the only way to stop illegal border crossings is [to] first build a fence, man it, equip it, and also, in parallel, build up your capabilities in terms of legal confines, legal circumstances to be able to handle what is coming.”

Some lib will show up and spin this story like a top. I'm sure there's a huffpo article that has some solid gold talking points to refute this.

Can't wait.

So build it. We're waiting. Surely there's a wonderful, fantastic, well articulated plan after a couple years of making it the crown jewel of campaign promises.

At least we don't have to pay for it as Mexico is, right?

This really doesn't make much sense. This is aapparently numbered if captured migrants (not border crossings).

What doesn't make sense is that the 96 mile fence didn't get done in one day, so the drop should be more gradual. In addition, they add a few hundred border agents to CAPTURE those trying to to cross. Then in the matter of two days they go from 6,500 to 40 despite more people to actually catch people crossing?

I'm sure nobody will agree with me, and call me a contrarian, but these data seem like the government manipulation we always accuse our own government of doing.

I don't need data to tell me either you or I can walk though a wall unless your name is Casper.

But there wasn't a 96 mile open border one day, then a 96 mile double fenced border with high tech gadgetry the next day.

And this isn't border crossings, it's captures. Wouldn't that help make capturing easier?

It's been 8 months. Why isn't this 2000 mile structure built yet!?!?

Is this serious?

You want the taxpayer to be in the hook for chasing down millions of nameless, faceless illegals? You want pregnant women and children dying in the desert, or getting trafficked by cartels?

With a wall, we are playing defense not offense. There is no logical argument against border fortification.
