Every illegal who slips through has to pay $1,000

Non problem.
Arrest anyone who hires one alien.
No work, no come.
5 years in federal pen for ceo, hiring manager, shift suprvisor. They would be sure not to mess up. Right now, the company pays a slap on wrist fine.

There's gonna be turnstiles in the tunnels they'll dig under it to make them accountable.

That would be absolutely amazing.
Use the army and national guard as border patrol.

No politician is capable of describing the wall at the rio grande.
If you put it midstream it will suffer from the water. The underpinnings would cost 50 times a land wall.
If you build on us side, mexicans can use the water but we cant.
Go ahead. Solve this feature, the entire tex border.

Wall does not solve.

Felony to hire one.

How will you know if they're being honest? You know dean well they aren't going to allow profiling

Everybody, even the far left, seems content with using apprehension as a proxy variable, but it seems like a metric that's too dependent on the error term being random.
Sorry, but a 60+ % drop in recorded apprehensions can't be dismissed with a hand wave and some colorful vocabulary.
Even if it's not because of the wall threat, or the rhetoric, or the additional resources these agents are ramping up for, a strong cost argument simply cannot be made here. Illegals cost the taxpayer untold billions and have stressed public systems to their breaking points. We have leverage in our trade and aid relationship with Mexico (and billions in seized cartel assets that can be liquidated) and can easily have the taxpayer reimbursed for construction.
Walls are used effectively all over the world, and it's a perfectly reasonable element in a broader immigration reform plan that has been working so far. There are also drug and human rights considerations here that liberals don't seem to want to talk about.
The wall is not a new idea, but it's still a good idea. A really good idea.

Lol, what about the millions who aren't working? Drawing resources, welfare, ER's, public schools, etc...

With a wall, we are playing defense not offense. There is no logical argument against border fortification.
Pretty sure dems see this as voter supression.

It is, and when none of that happens, those "numbers" will inflate again.

Ok, you really need to make up your mind.

This might have been posted already but if walls don't work then these liberals decrying such, especially these Hollywood elitist types, need to tear down their walls, doors, and barriers to their precious dwellings. And while they are at it, they can ditch their guns and/or gun toting body guards as well since we know about gun dangers too. Oh and how can I leave Al Gore and his lite brite house off as well with the whole footprint it leaves...

No wall on this scale has ever been successful. It's a boondoggle of the first order. The funny thing is, most of these Trump supporters will bitch about gov't spending and reducing the size of gov't. It's Trump's Obamacare.
Posted on 8/24/17 at 9:28 pm to GeorgeWest
The government savings, as a result of the decreased amount of illegals crossing over, will easily pay for the wall.
