I'm not military, so forgive me if incorrect.

The only possible soldiers who could have three CIBs are those who fought in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam?

I'm proud of my service, but I would never flaunt it or take advantage of it. I get a little embarrassed when people walk up to me in public to thank me, cause I don't know what to say.

Ditto for me.

I could barely make out in the video the CIB (could not see the stars), by size apparently a master parachutist badge (grrr - worked hard for that), and a third badge (not sure if air assault or pathfinder).

What a loser.

You are correct sir. Three separate wars/conflicts, not geographic locations and times (the fakers argument).

For the longest time (and I believe this has been revised), you could not even wear a star (two conflicts) above your CIB for Vietnam and Grenada/Panama/First Gulf War. They were that strict. It is my understanding they have revised that rule a bit (e.g. now you can).

That's who I was referencing. A lot of younger guys have two from the current wars.

Confession time:

I once resided in the Pensacola area (Nearer Perdido Key).

Anyway, on sundays, a large group would skydive and land on the beach near the Florabama bar. They got discounted drinks.

A friend gave me an old jumpsuit, I waited until they landed and I went in with them to get the discounted drinks.

I am so ashamed

i mean all of us make bad choices, thankfully you moved away from south alabama. You don't have to go back fwiw.

Laughing my arse off. The world is full of shitheads like this. He's no different than Hillary talking about ducking sniper fire at Tuzla. Can anybody visualize Bill Clinton in BDUs talking about how he survived Khe Sahn? I can because they're the same type of people.

When I was a young and innocent butterbar flying to my first assignment in West Germany, I happened to sit next to a VN vet war hero who regaled his experience of requisitioning a jeep so that he and his buddies could do a weekend road trip from Da Nang to Saigon to Bangkok and back while banging whores and staying drunk all the way. Not physically possible. Maybe these guys are like Neil Tyson who just misremembered things?

Yes and yes, they were in key leadership positions when I came in and were like royalty. Even as a kid you knew to listen what they were putting out!
