Video: Watch vet confront military faker at the mall (NSFW - Language)

The Black Friday shopper in Army camo and a Ranger tab caught the attention of Ryan Berk almost immediately. Berk, a former enlisted infantryman and combat vet, smelled a potential faker.
"I watched this guy talk to this little kid for like 10, 15 minutes. I heard him say he was Special Forces," Berk told Army Times. "Nothing added up with this dude."
Berk felt he needed to do something, so he turned on the camera and called the suspected faker over — and started recording. The video, initially posted by YouTube account Stolen Valor after Berk sent it to Guardians of Valor, has garnered more than 2 million views. Berk has also posted an extended version.
The alleged faker, identified as Sean Yetman, has been plagued with angry phone calls and even death threats, according to one woman who identified herself as Yetman's fiancee.
Filmed at the Oxford Valley Mall near Philadelphia, the video opens innocently enough.
"Hey, sir! Hey, my son would like to meet you he really admires guys in the Army!," Berk calls out to Yetman. The infantryman would later tell Army Times it wasn't his son, it was actually his girlfriend's child. All three were out shopping for the day.
Yetman, wearing staff sergeant insignia, enthusiastically joins Berk and the boy and quickly identifies his unit: 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment out of Fort Lewis. Then Berk wastes no time poking holes in Yetman's story.

Posing as a serviceman is always a pretty despicable thing to do, however, this rash of youtube videos of late that call these people out only make the ouster look even worse. Yeah the man in uniform is a slime ball for impersonating an Army Ranger, but he isn't bothering anyone. Some idiot starts shouting "fricking a-hole" around my child in the mall, I am going to have a problem with them.

I do not agree with the way it ended, but the person who confronted him was an infantryman (SGT 11B) in Afghanistan so it was very insulting to him and the memory of comrades he lost.

Awesome, I hate liars. I'm still waiting for them to call out PTSD fakers though.

So bizarre to me that it is an actual thing to pretend you're some type of military badass.

receiving military discounts while shopping is illegal under the Stolen valor law.

I know this should piss me off but I actually see the fakers as mentally ill. If they are not getting benefits or other things related to service call them out quietly.
I agree the exposers are coming off as bad as the fakers.

I don't know about others I have seen, but for this one I think it was mentioned this jackass was trying to get some special military Black Friday deal.

"So you shop at the mall with Sergeant Major on Black Friday?"
"Sometimes"

If you're going to impersonate military, why wouldn't you at least do it correctly. And why does he do it, just for the military discounts? That's pretty scummy for that 10% off your double cheeseburger.
I'm proud of my service, but I would never flaunt it or take advantage of it. I get a little embarrassed when people walk up to me in public to thank me, cause I don't know what to say.

That "exposer" doesn't come across as looking bad to me.
I applaud his actions to expose that fat, lying sack o'shiite phony.

He started out pretty good, but following and yelling "fricking a-hole" next to a bunch of children in a crowded mall was a bit much.

Check out Don Shipley on youtube it shows how a retired Seal haunts these fat frickers.

Confession time:
I once resided in the Pensacola area (Nearer Perdido Key).
Anyway, on sundays, a large group would skydive and land on the beach near the Florabama bar. They got discounted drinks.
A friend gave me an old jumpsuit, I waited until they landed and I went in with them to get the discounted drinks.
I am so ashamed

That's the fattest "Ranger" I think I've ever seen.

Considering this happened at a mall in Philadelphia and the 2nd Ranger Battalion is at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington

FIFY
If you are going to fake, do it well. No SSI-FWTS, US flag patch too low, triple CIB and no ranger tab even though you are an infantry NCO assigned to the Ranger regiment is going get you called out pretty quick.
