Obama and his minions should be ashamed. They hurt so many middle class families, sacrificing their well being on the altar of Global Warming. They KNOW it is B.S. but they do it anyway in the name of social justice.

All that crap is going away. I think Trump can actually do what he said, the early signs such as these are very encouraging.
Obama's administration deserved blame for their slow job growth and their lack of business friendly policies.

BUT as it relates to manufacturing jobs, the downward trend began a half a century ago. While it's gotten steeper in recent decades, manufacturing productivity has accelerated at the same time. So likely much of that is due to technology and innovation replacing human labor. No president should (or even can) stop that.

Going to need more details than the article provides.

Is Trump rolling back the newer standards on coal fired boilers?

Just because things don't get manufactured here anymore, doesn't mean things aren't manufactured. The contempt people have for manufacturing jobs, I'll never understand. People talk about those kinds of jobs like they don't exist instead of as it really is, that they don't exist here in this business climate.

No specifics but he has said numerous times he was going to bring coal back and that the regulations on businesses are hindering industries.

Trump said he would be making many regulations disappear that have stifled or killed jobs in America.

Also, I'm no expert, but I assume U.S. Steel is more of an earlier process of production provider and not really consumer facing. I doubt marketing is very important for them, but I could be wrong
Good points, but they have been removed from the S&P 500 in 2014. But I guess their stock is surging since Trump has been elected so it probably doesn't hurt to take advantage of that trend.

Willing to isn't the same thing as is. Those jobs aren't coming back it's window dressing.

And this should be it. Just take away government.

No need to increase regulations on trade, just focus on decreasing the barriers.

Ya think?

Trumpkins believe manufacturing jobs have fled the US not because of economics/cheap labor - but because the last 6 or 7 presidents hatd America. Bit Trump loves America, therefore basic economic principles don't count anymore.

Trump even buys his steel from Chima. The only way imo us steel brings jobs back is through a backdoor deal where Trump uses US steel as his sole steel supplier for his buildings in exchange US steel receives massive welfare and handouts.

Nice slap in the face to Obama.

Here's a site that won't give you a virus:

"Market conditions will dictate if, when and how many employees we can recall," a U.S. Steel spokeswoman told Reuters on Wednesday.

From an LSU perspective it's more like Hallman = Obama, Trump = Saban.
