US Military can't meet quotas - suggestion...

We have so many illegals that will never be deported. Could we solve two problems at once. Allow a pathway to citizenship for any illegal immigrant that successfully completes a tour of duty in the US Military?
You make up the requirements - but I'm thinking a 4 year tour, they will have to learn English during the first two years to move foward and eventually earn citizenship. Would need to either re-up after 4 years or get an honorable discharge.
All candidates would be evaluated for their criminal record - no MS 13 allowed, no violent criminals allowed (which is sort of ironic).
What do you think?

How about acknowledging that this system is illegitimate and the fact that nobody wants to sign up to defend it is proof that it doesn't deserve to be defended.

You want Illegal Immigrants fighting for this country? 
They don't care about this country. Most of them don't or won't assimilate and fly their own country flag every chance they get. This is the problem you run into when you allow Third World Illegal Immigrants to pour into your country. There is no loyalty. None. They send most their money back home as well.
