Same here, on all points. I could’ve written that exact post.

I'm not the one suggesting we support Ukraine. Trump is.

And even if we do, we're not putting boots on the ground.

What a worthless, gutless coward. There is absolutely nothing about Ukraine that is worth one cent of American taxpayer dollars. For the retards like Boosie, the cold war ended more than 30 years ago. Do you really think the Russians are going to try and march into DC or something?

We live in a world of finite resources. We are the hegemon. China and Russia are aspiring hegemons. It is therefore a zero sum game.

But keep shitting on the chess board and proclaiming victory, little pigeon.

We gain nothing from sending hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine. Russia is not a threat to us.

They’re not going to march on DC. But they are going to compete with us in Africa and Europe. For resources, markets, and influence.

Bogging them down in a quagmire in Ukraine is certainly is our best interest.

Same thing Iran did to us on a smaller scale in Iraq. Same thing the Russians did to us in Vietnam. Same thing we did to the Russians in Afghanistan in the 70s.

Only difference here now is Putin is a master of information warfare and he’s winning in that arena.

As the only functioning democracy out of the three hegemons, we’re uniquely vulnerable to information warfare influencing official policy.

Careful, seeing the big picture makes you a NEOCON on this board.

Do you not think that the all caps were used to emphasize the word choice?

Trump is not a guy known for keeping his foot out of his mouth. Go find one of those quotes to hang on.

And it’s also quite sad for the “cult45” and “it’s HIS turn crowd” to make an issue out of everything he says. You fools still don’t understand that you sealed your boys fate, by acting like liberals with TDS

Me. I still like him. I wish he would insist on border first and Ukraine second, but so far that is my only gripe.

I think every Republican should spend the next seven months absolutely obsessing over attacking the Speaker for accepting current political reality instead of focusing on beating Democrats in elections.
With Republicans stabbing each other in the back in the House of Representatives Johnson won't be Speaker of the House for seven more months because they are on the verge of losing the majority resulting from resignations and in-term retirements.

Then the Dems with their new majority in the House will pass a bill, as will the senate and signed by Biden, which satisfies the SCOTUS ruling that it's up to congress to remove candidates from the ballot for "insurrection" and Trump will not be allowed to run for POTUS in November.

I hope the dumbasses on here will be happy when they get that thrown in their face.

Did he make that proposal? How much money is Trump (or MAGA, I hear they are different things..) responsible for giving Ukraine?

Any more straw men?

Your interpretation does not make the other party a liar. It actually makes you one.

If you try hard enough you can deceive yourself into thinking Trump was actually talking about a loan.

He even used the words "against great odds" I believe.

So you think this is working out well for us

Or, we saw how this either situations play out and want to stay out of it this time? You know, do something different?

So why are we all lying about the purpose of the aid we are providing? Why is it being sold as Humanitarian aid, rather than a long term strategic play to “bog down” Russia?

Vietnam, Afghanistan are not in any better positions coming out of those conflicts you quoted. That was not the goal. So why are we lying, and putting Ukraine flags in our yards to sell it to eachother?

The US? How many dead soldiers do we have?

It’s not ideal for the Ukraine but what other choice do they have? If capitulating to Russia was the better option they would have done it already.

We saw that the larger land force takes disproportionate losses while the little guy is being propped up. Maybe there’s a negotiated peace, maybe the larger force overwhelms by sheer volume, maybe there’s a withdrawal.

All three of those options mean Russia’s ability to compete with us in Africa and the rest of Europe is degraded while they’re churning bodies in Ukraine.

Look at Wagner pre and post- war. That’s a strategic asset for Russia completely wiped out.

Why would we stop that now?

I appreciate boosie's honesty instead of the typical Neville Chamberlain BS that the Call of Duty crew on the OT relies on.

You used it to refute that “MAGA is the most vocally opposed to giving money away” to Ukraine. You said that it was a lie. Which group is more opposed, and what have they done about it?

All I know about what he said is what you quoted, and it still seems that he is differentiating a loan (his position) from what is currently being offered. And as just a guy running for president, what difference does it actually make? Is his proposal in the bill that was passed?

Wait, is that the alternative?

quote:

It’s not ideal for the Ukraine

So it’s working out well for the US because we have no dead soldiers. But it’s “not ideal” for THE Ukraine that has reportedly lost over 30k troops? Talk about a fine line.

Or maybe what ultimately happens was always going to happen, we take on massive debt, and still are not respected for subsidizing the countries that have more to lose from this conflict than we do. Oh and Russia has a chip on their shoulder because we decided to fund their neighbor in a war.
