The balance has shifted towards anti tank munitions. Armor is at a disadvantage currently.

It is an arms race though. The Russian are equipping their tanks with drone jammers.

Mediazona is a western effort to track Russian military deaths. It looks government funded. The project counts obituaries and death notices on social media.

LINK

Between October and January they report 5,500 confirmed deaths, and the rate drops from October to January. This makes sense, the Russians used small units to crack open the defenses, supported by a lot of artillery and heavy airstrikes.

Their losses were orders of magnitude lower.

Ah youre repeating the talking points after Ukraine failed to defend one of its most heavily defended lines left on the battlefield. Not a very good result after the miserably failed attempt at a spring...err...summer..errr..fall counter "offensive". But by all means keep repeating the tired British propaganda directly posted to the Nato war thread on OT.

The Ukrainians should have dug in and built defenses like Russia did and then begin peace talks.

So they should have given up?

I think media (largely truthfully) has never made anyone want to be in a B-17, C-47, or anything with wheels or tracks less.

Remember the quote from SPR? "Five men is an opportunity.
One is a waste of ammo." That's what I feel about vehicles of any sort.

The IDF seemed to have taken all of this anti-drone/RPG tech and standardized it. Us shipping Abrams to people stripped (I'm assuming) of potentially intelligence compromising tech, I don't know how that'll work out.

Meanwhile, we're decommissioning A-10s at Davis Monthan. Does anyone thing those could be employed? Bueller? Bueller? Of course, their pilots would not measure to ours, but... Stick airframes in the desert while the Russians are sending flights of SU-25s over?

It's a shite show of proportions not witnessed by people in our generation.

Logically, yes

Limit your losses and hope for a chance to reverse them in the future.

The Abrams that Ukraine is getting is not like the modern Abrams. Armor is different and fire control / optics are different. Modern Abrams is very good but throughout history the key to US Armor has been the crew, more than the tank. Same applies for the Bradley.

agreed …..not unlike most of Victoria Nuland led color revolutions. This war is entirely led by the IC ….. one of the reasons the nightly news coverage is glaringly different than the Hamas-Israel conflict.
