It's a red herring argument anyway. There's no way a blanket policy would be written which didn't take into account rural school districts.

She's an entrenched Republican. Alaska is a pretty populist state.

She did. She beat a Tea Party candidate by a couple thousand votes as a write in. She was primaried for things like her NEA support. I'm not sure she qualifies for full-on RINO. But she's in the area code.

The only reason she ran a write-in candidate was because she lost the Republican Primary; however, she had been a Republican her entire political career, including the 6 years prior in the Senate. Electoral History

She was still a Republican; she just couldn't run as one.

Don't care that two GOP senators won't vote to confirm.

Don't care that the DoE is going to be led by Betsy DeVos.

Don't care that she has no qualifications (she doesn't).

I'd just as soon put a pineapple up for the head of that dept.
