Trump's 1st economic report card:
Da fuq? Obama was still blaming Bush 6 years into office.

So this report card is clearly...

Obamas fault.

No. You're simply uninformed.

Of course the newest coal plants coming online are none too pleased to hear Trump is loosening regulations. But it is what it is.

The large majority of coal-fired generating stations have already been converted to natural gas. This is due to two factors, Obama's regulations and cheap gas. Rollbacks now are too late, firms won't make the capital investment to go back to coal, not until gas prices rise again - which they will.

Where are these plants? No one is building coal-fired plants in America.

And that wouldn't have any thing to do with the regulations that Obama put in place, would it? The damage has already been done to a large degree.
Wasn't it Hillary Clinton herself that said the Democratic Party would put a lot of Coal workers out of work?

LINK

Now, granted, she went on to say she wanted to bring clean energy jobs to those areas, but it certainly shows a clear agenda to try to destroy the coal industry knowing it would cost jobs. How many coal workers do you think would have the background, education etc to go into new fields of work?

Do you realize that the Petra Nova link is a link announcing new technologies applied to an existing coal-fired plant. Kemper is a new lignite plant, but plans for it was started in 2010, prior to Obama's regulations and the collapse of gas prices. No one is starting new coal-fired plants now.

quote:

At 240 MW, Petra Nova is the world's largest post-combustion carbon capture facility installed on an existing coal-fueled power plant. The technology has the potential to enhance the long-term viability and sustainability of coal-fueled power plants across the U.S. and around the world.

So lets get this straight Kemper is a brand new plant, but no one is starting new plants . . . well . . . except for Kemper and Petra Nova. Petra Nova is using CO2 byproduct to uniquely enhance oil field production, but according to you, there is no call for similar projects. That about sum it up?

Hydrogen Energy California, Holcolmb Expansion KS, Quintana South Heart Project ND, Texas Clean Energy Project TX are a few others in works, but they probably don't count. Amirite?

OK, I know you think that the Kemper site is because of Trump, but it takes 2 years to construct these sites. That's after years of design and permitting.

I worked in the industry and I would love to see coal make a comeback - but it's not anytime soon. Gas is just too cheap.

You have lost your mind. Obama inherited the "worst economy evah!!!!" And sluggish growth was Bush's fault for 6 years.

Do you think we don't see right through this disingenuous crap. Come on, man. You used to be capable of debate. You bring as much value and credibility as Toddy nowadays.

No, I only said hiring is a sign of market confidence.....example, if I'm hiring, I expect demand will increase.

But Obama owns the 1st ate report on growth, thinking otherwise is moronic.

Ban bet it gets better 2nd qtr?

That's great. It will look even better when the number comes out 3 years for now.

And you are the worst.

Trump has already made the economy better. If Obama were still POTUS, these numbers would be much worse.
