Considering they've already started with the HFC, very unlikely

If Trump pushes a public option plan, then he may as well change his party affiliation back to Democrat.

Ahhh yes. When he looks like he's made a mistake, told a lie, or just plain wrong, chalk it up to his "out of the box" thinking as if he's on some higher level of reasoning.

Or maybe he just wings it a lot of the time, without too much thought.

Serious question. I don't have the energy to go ten rounds with you tonight.

But if he actually does make a deal and repeals this shite legislation; how is that a bad thing for Trump?

What if he is thinking on another level about this and brings it to the other side and gets cooperation?

Would you give him some credit for getting us out of the albatross that is Obamacare?

Serious question.

If it's a better policy, it's a good thing.

Well if it is a better policy. But I'm skeptical the Ds will agree to one.

Sure, but I'm not confident that the Ds have the answer.

Bet you it's not as difficult as they're making it to be. I posted this off the top of my head the other day:

Why can't we just go back to it was before the democrat's ruined healthcare. Repeal and put it back the way it was. Give the Insurance companies til the end of this year to get set back up...open the states borders for competition, then have another open enrollment...you pass, you gamble (just like before). Add a 2 year buffer for those who are currently being treated for a long term illness to continue treatment with what they have now until the private sector plans become more available/cheaper and can get on board one of those or get on medicaid. Might have to make some adjustments but damn, it really can't be that fricking complicated

Also get the pharmaceutical companies to quit raping us.
Am I missing something?

I don't really buy this, though.

Trump said he was going to

- lock Hilary up
- make a wall and make Mexico pay
- pass an airtight immigration eo (twice)
- find out about the 3 million illegals who voted
- prove he was wiretapped
- insure everyone that was cheaper and better than Obama care

Yeah. He's making it all happen.

Well apparently it may be a bit more difficult. I mean Trump wanted to lower costs, which we all want.

BUT he refused to get rid of preexisting conditions rule (highly popular) while also getting rid of the individual mandate, which was understandably unpopular.

Problem is that you can't have both and expect costs to lower.

After reading the quotes, I don't believe it is a specific plan or anything imminent. Appears to be more campaign style stuff such as "we are going to get it done, it will be great" etc.

2 months in...Really? He was going to do all that in 2 months? Never heard him say that, but after 8 years, Gitmo is still open...how bout that?

preexisting conditions

That's the biggest dealbreaker...and I can't figure out why that was or even still on the table. I could see maybe having an open enrollment twice a year, but that's pushing it.
