I thought the stimulus was almost a Trillion when Obama first took over? Did they just say it counted on Bush's budget?

Guess that approaching debt ceiling issue solved itself!

I look forward to these updates continuing.

Here is one source - Gateway Pundit

quote:

By comparison, under President Obama, the US Debt burden increased by more than $400 billion after his inauguration through March 19th 2009, his first two months in office. Obama increased the US Debt by 3.9% during this time period and signed the trillion dollar ‘Stimulus’ bill which is widely considered a colossal failure and waste of US tax dollars as well. The failed ‘Stimulus’ was the major piece of legislation in Obama’s first year leading to Obama’s first year deficit of $1.4 trillion. Overall Obama doubled the US Debt during his Presidency and set records for highest deficits and the largest debt increase by any President ever.

The sad thing is that as much as I despise Obama, had he actually spent the one trillion on making infrastructure improvements, he'd have gone down as one of the best Presidents ever. That's not to say I'm for government spending, but if they're going to spend the money anyway, they might as well spend it on infrastructure, and previous Presidents simply didn't have the opportunity Obama had. Yet, in a dramatic failure of leadership, the idiot blew the money on high risk industries and repaying political favors. This is his biggest failure of a very long list of failures, in my opinion.

Sadly, it pales in comparison to his foreign policy failures in Iraq, Libya, and Syria.

Horrible presidency.

Totally misleading and fake news. Yes, it's technically correct that the debt has gone down since Trump became President; however, it will go back up. Congress will vote to increase the debt ceiling soon and several hundred billion dollars will be borrowed to cover the federal budget deficit.

look, i think Trump is a shitbag of a person, and i don't have very much hope in him as a president, but c'mon... the whole "let's compare him to Hitler" trope is ridiculous and disingenuous to the ACTUAL atrocities that Hitler and his regime committed.... just stop with this...
