First it was Mexico, and now Trump is ripping Australia. This dude is a clown. He has zero tact or negotiation ability. Just insults and hot air. He could've easily said No. Instead he acted like a child, again and may cost us a staunch ally.

But experts say the fallout from the rise of US President Donald Trump, who had a heated phone call with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on the weekend, could push the two countries apart.

I think there will be long term consequences," Australian National University School of Politics professor John Warhurst told CNN. "It may well be that Trump's US and the rest of the world is fundamentally changed over the coming years."

First off, CNN is a shite source. Even Turnbull came out and said the conversation was frank and to the point but no one hung up on anyone.

Trump pushed back on accepting fugees from Somalia/Iraq/Afghanistan that Australia won't even accept (and keep in a fricking offshore detention facility) and that's a good thing.

Let's say you had a friend who was down on his luck, and so you let him stay in your spare bedroom free of charge, just until he got back on his feet. Time passes, and he goes out and finds a job and gets some good money rolling in - but he doesn't move out, and you're too kind-hearted to kick him out. But more time passes, and he doesn't leave, and starts bragging about the new car he bought, and the new tv, and other such things, all of which are nicer than yours, and which he can afford because he doesn't pay anything in rent. When you finally sack up and tell him that he can no longer stay free of charge, and will either have to pay rent or move out, do you think he's going to take that news well? Would you say your relationship might be "fundamentally changed" as a result?

Trump is going to have a lot of those type conversations in his term.

Australia has been our biggest ally in every war we've been in since WW2.
