Can you start by explaining why you think the handling of the two crises is similar?
Did you not read the OP? The burden is on you!

Okay. Do you still beat your girlfriend? Yes or No

JFK blundered his way through the crisis and in the end gave everything away to the Soviets.
Between 60 and 100 Nukes never left Cuba.
The Reason the Soviets put Nukes in Cuba in the first place was a response to the US stationing Nukes in Turkey.
The US SECRETLY (press never let us here in the us know) agreed to remove the Nukes out of Turkey and agreed to never again back an invasion of Cuba, which put an end to the Crisis.

Tisa Walden drew that picture to show what she saw during her 1985 sighting.
Tisa Walden is a famous beat poet.
That drawing was just a quick sketch she did of the animal.
I challenge you to do a quick sketch (2-5 minutes) of an elephant and to post it here so we can all see what a great artist you are.

I disagree because President Trump is not impulsive and short-sighted.
He sees the big picture and is acting quickly to stop it.
You poor soul.
I don't even think that Trump would deny being impulsive.

If someone as impulsive and short-sighted as Trump was President during the Cuban Missle Crisis there would have been a Nuclear War. If you disagree then explain why.
Completely disagree because the Kennedy's were dumber and more short sighted than Trump.
The entire crisis was caused because the US placed Nukes in Turkey so Russia sent Nukes to Cuba.
(Complete balancing move)
The Kennedy boys even considered using one of our own subs to sink one of our surface ships and blaming the attack on Russia. RFK said we could use it politically as a "Remember the Maine" moment to start the War!

they don't care. it is disinformation in our media that has reached the stage that they diss natsec to diss Trump
Posted on 8/11/17 at 3:20 pm to Loserman
ETA: Oh, I see. You are saying that RFK suggested that we have a similar moment. Where the frick did you get that from?

You think we blew up the Maine? The coal bunker exploded. There have been numerous studies on this issue. Not one concluded that we torpedoed our own ship
It doesn't matter how the Maine was actually sunk. The battle Cry that took us to War was remember the Maine!
And fricktard RFK...
Is on Tape advising the sinking of one of our own ships with our own sub as a Remember the Maine Moment! RFK was bringing up operation Northwood planning.
That is a factual statement

Really? Do you know where I could find the audio?

Meh, President Trump has self-confidence and is intelligent enough to see the forest as well as the trees.
President Trump is also a New Yorker and most New Yorkers don't lallygag. Once a New Yorker gets enough information to know what to do then they do it.

Did JFK do that while the Cuban missile crisis was happening?

National Archives. It was declassified a decade or so ago.

You've always been a cartoon character, but you're outdoing yourself here. Just the entertainment I needed as I wind down on a Friday afternoon.

That all may be true but I am referring to JFK publicly calling out Khrushchev in no uncertain terms if the missiles weren't immediately removed.

Interesting, I'll have to check that out.
