Trump has the authority to declassify any known information about wiretaps

Or any other perceived wrongdoing by the Obama administration for that matter.
If this is true, and he has the evidence he claims to, then he needs to make it public. Otherwise bringing this up, true or not, is not beneficial and in fact counterproductive. It only serves to give those who oppose him more ammunition and makes him look like a liar (again). If Barack Obama had true dirt on Bush trying to thwart his campaign using his Presidential authority, we'd have known every intimate detail in January 2009.

I've been thinking this exact thing. He may be purposely slow-playing his hand to 1) get more of the media and Dems to expose themselves as frauds, and/or 2) allow the PR side to become a frenzy before laying out the winning hand.
Or, he could be totally winging it without any sort of plan.

Because it would land him tremendous public support. I would also do more to hurt Obama's legacy and ultimately provide ammo to reverse his course than anything prior.
If he doesn't present the evidence, I can only logically assume it does not exist or it incriminates him in some way.

We know for a fact that wire taps were done. There is no doubt about that that. So Clapper is either lying or they've got a bigger problem on their hands for not getting a FISA warrant prior to the wire tapping.
