It is dumb for them to get wound up about this, unless, as someone speculated, its to give the press a shiny bauble to distract while controversial EOs come down.

Yesterday I thought this was lame. Then I remembered the old "stoop to their level to beat them" mantra.
That is what Trump is doing now.
IMO, he should have focused on the MLK bust lie, but now I understand why he mentioned the crowd. That was more about his supporters that came than him. The MSM is trying to push that their support would never equal Obama's due to crowd size, yet neglected to point out crowd size when Trump was filling arenas while Hillary was paying "hundreds" of people to show up at her rallies.
The MSM needs to be dealt with, for sure. Will be interesting to see where this all leads.

Just heard Juan Williams lament that "the Press plays a vital in American politics". Well duhh! Like it ain't obvious that the role is to carry water for the Progressive hegemony; and that Trump is going to use their own action in order to destroy their journalistic credibility. And Red America will stand up and cheer every single time he publically disparages them.
The Press is like one of those MMA fighters who got knocked to the canvas and in a semi-conscious fog is still flailing at the opposition. A shame that there is no ref to call it off, and prevent further damage.

Valid and the sheer fact that the inauguration takes place in Washington D.C. which is dominated by liberal progressive Democrats. Trump should have just stated the obvious and be done with it.

No. That doesn't support the folks that showed up....
His statement was aimed at those who showed up. He was pissed on their behalf. The press is again, marginalizing the crowds he is drawing.
They learned nothing from the campaign.

Trump is right. Even NBC said live about 5 minutes before the inauguration that it had completely filled up and was late arriving due to protests and security. They even showed all the people on the video feed.

That is what I am seeing on Twitter this AM from very middle of the road folks.
The overriding theme is that there had to be more security in place at this event than past ones due to the threat of Progressive violence. And the progs didn't disappoint. They showed us what they were made of.
Think about it: Performers were getting death threats BEFORE the inauguration. There were more checkpoints, etc.
Now how do they know who was out there supporting Trump and who was supporting the violent left is unknown in the totals, but the stories of people arriving late or not getting in due to security and protestors is well known.

Britt Hume tweeted that Trump was right. The crowd ran all the way back to the Washington Monument and he said that comparison pic was taken at an earlier time.
