Anyone with more brain cells than a turnip always knew this would be an issue. But we're talking about Trump and Trumpkins here. Never once did i the thought pop into Trump's feeble mind how you would deal with the river.

The parts around the Big Bend don't need a wall--the cliffs in that area are enough of a deterrent.

Seriously....it's not like we're Russia taking back Ukraine.

The Mexicans are trying to change their zip code already. We move the border....we make it a shorter walk to the wall. Don't tell me Trump isn't a nice guy.

Probably more cost effective to spend a few billion on Mexico's immigration reform since most of the immigrants coming from the south aren't Mexicans anyway.

I wouldn't say most, but many aren't from Mexico.

Just don't tell Trump they have access to airplanes in Mexico. He will want to build a wall around them as well.

Airplanes are so stealthy.

Probably not, but just to be clear the quote came from Interior Secretary Zinke, not Trump.

O Lord our God,

help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells;

help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead;

help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain;

help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire;

help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief;

help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst,

sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter,

broken in spirit,

worn with travail,

imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it –

for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord,

blast their hopes,

blight their lives,

protract their bitter pilgrimage,

make heavy their steps,

water their way with their tears,

stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet!

We ask it, in the spirit of love,

of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts.

Amen.

The wall just got 34,965 feet taller. Mexico better open that pocketbook.

I still dont understand the wall. The vast majority of illegals came in the country at border crossing and simply overstayed their welcome. You think they are cutting through chain linked fence and barbed wire in the middle of the night and sneaking across.

Sounds like an excuse to not build there.

It's a valid point though.

Like the wall everywhere it's applicable and heavy armed presence in areas of question. Think out of the box baw. Why is it that liberals can only think in black/white solutions?

They are.

Your other point is a great reason to make visa over stays a felony with harsh 1st offense penalties.
Don't you agree?

Houston is loaded with illegals. Of the dozens I have met and openly talked about only one was from Nicaragua.

Just like Atlanta was in the early 80's when it was booking with housing construction. Same thing in TX and has been for about a decade.

It's only one piece of the plan, but it is a very important piece.

It's a large vertical barrier. It serves the purpose of stopping people, animals, and things like lizards from traveling any further in that direction.
