"The border is complicated, as far as building a physical wall," he said during a speech to the Public Land Council in Washington, D.C., according to E&E News.
"The Rio Grande, what side of the river are you going to put the wall? We're not going to put it on our side and cede the river to Mexico. And we're probably not going to put it in the middle of the river."

I got 10$ that Trump had no idea this would be an issue.

It's not like this is some unknowable problem without a solution. When things get serious about the wall, a solution will be found.

Yeah, that's not going to happen.

Trump should annex Mexico and form the US Republic of Texico and deliver the "American Dream" to the Mexican people so they don't have to risk life and limb coming to the US. Immigration problem solved.

Just build it on our side until they get to Lake Amistad and Falcon Lake. Go on their side around those.
I think that's a fair trade.

That would be an act of war on the United States

How so? If anything construction of a wall on Mexican territory would be an act of war on Mexico.

They could claim that, but what can they do?
Posted on 3/29/17 at 11:35 am to joshnorris14
so wait, we're going to build the wall in Meixco now?
Posted on 3/29/17 at 11:36 am to joshnorris14
Mexico commits acts of war against the US on a daily basis. We have just let them get away with it for years.

It's only fair to build it in Mexico since they're going to pay for it.

Next thing you know we will be building the wall along Mexico's southern border.... and we will still be paying for it.
Probably more cost effective to spend a few billion on Mexico's immigration reform since most of the immigrants coming from the south aren't Mexicans anyway.
