GOOD GOD! How many times does the myth of "the polls were way off" have to be debunked on one message board before it goes away. The average of the final national polls was off by 1%. Well within the margin of error.

Final Polls

These numbers matter to Congress and affect Trump's ability to strong arm members of his party to support his agenda. One of the reasons why his healthcare bill will likely fail to pass is because of GOP congressman who aren't afraid of Trump campaigning against them now that his numbers are terrible. Politicians pay a lot of attention to polling.

That's horrible for the first few months of a Presidency.

Honestly, the media has never, ever went after a new president like this. I'm not a Trump fan, but there's no way a liberal will ever acknowledge this president doing ANYTHING good, the same way R's had a hard time putting Obama in a good light. Probably 80% of the people polled have no clue what's going on anyway.

From 37% to 39%. Don't celebrate too hard.

That's national isn't it? I think people are talking about the specific battleground state polls. They were off by a larger margin right?

Apparently you have no idea what that word mean. Less than 100K votes out of 127+ million is a win. Not a landslide.

Yeah, there were bad state polls, but that's not new. Most state polling is done by newspapers and universities that don't have the money to hire knowledge, large polling organizations.

You don't have the WH, Senate or House and losing Govs at an alarming rate. I guess we should allow you this moral victory you are trying to have.

Wrong. They had Clinton +2 in their final poll. Nailed it but didn't have Trump winning nationally.

They also had Romney up on Obama by 1%.
