Both Trump and Turnbull got what they wanted out of it.
Trump keeps the word of the US (even though current deal is shitty) while expressing anger to keep his base happy. His anger was with the deal, not towards Australia.
Turnbull gets some "he stood up to Trump" and "didn't give in" press. Will make Australians happy.
Both leaders got something out of this. Media trying to make it sound like they're now enemies when in fact they worked together.
