Well, he is worth $350 million dollars, so he probably won't go hungry.

Why isn't he spreading that money around? So many hungry kids...so much money. He should do it for the children.

I simply quit watching shows with actors who upfront supported the Democratic party. I just dropped a lot of shows I may watch as reruns off the list and surely I would not go and pay money to watch them.

I doubt my small efforts amount to much more than personal satisfaction

I have tried for 2 days to find something to go to this weekend, finally almost pulled the trigger on "Lost City o Z" then noticed is has the effeminate Twilight vampire in it, decided I couldn't stand two hours of that.

this is not insignificant for hanks it had an 18 million dollar budget which is relatively small, but it got a very wide release over 3100 theaters, that means it averaged just over $100.00 per theater which translates into some showings literally empty. it also comes on the heals of "inferno" losing 40 million at the box office. it's really bad news for character driven dramas which almost never get a wide release which are usually reserved for big budget CG effects driven movies. it's bad news for emma watson who was expected to carry the movie. maybe she can spin it that hanks tanked the box office.

my personal belief is that hanks has not helped himself not only with his politics but on those crappy ron howard divinci code movies in which he spends two and a half hours making fun of Catholicism. i understand he's playing a character but after making three of them you begin to wonder.

he does more for charitable causes in a month than you will do in your life. He's one of the most notable philanthropists in Hollywood. He's active in charities for veterans in particular. He's extremely involved in the national World War II museum. I'm sure that won't stop you from dismissing his charitable involvement as liberal hippie causes or some mouthbreathing bullshite along those lines, though. He also said he hopes Trump succeeds because it would mean the country succeeds. He's just a good guy. Now let's hear about your philanthropic activities pal.

You're going to have near zero shows to watch then

Good luck with that strategy.

Not even close...

Shia LebBeouf's movie only sold one ticket its opening day and 2 tickets the next day.

The last movie I saw in a theatre was Chipwrecked when my now 11 year old daughter was in kindergarten.
Hollywood doesn't want people like me supporting them.

This movie looks fricking awful. Emma Watson seems to have limited range. Her ability appears to be limited to disgust and shock.

He seems ok with that. There is almost zero watchable shows anyway, even without his restrictions.

Movies @ the theatre are due to streaming...not because of politics.

And what a miserable life to make every choice about politics.

OK then, I'll visit the WW2 Museum.

But not go see his movies!
