A bad movie bombing doesn't mean it's because of you. Now watch next week when Guardians makes a frick ton because most people rather watch a fun movie then be a miserable frick

What is your point supposed to be? How did you conclude that if a movie bombs I think it is because of me? That really makes no sense.

What movie? Was it worse than the $8.00 opening a few weeks ago?

PS - That'll teach some of you left-wing loons to mock my boycott prowess.

YTD the box office is up 2.3% over last year, 12% over 2015, 15% over 2014, 25% of 2013, etc.

Great boycotting, freak...

ETA: Numbers were just revised upward to reflect last night's take. It's now +4.1% over last year, 14.0% over 2015, 17.0% over 2014, and 27.6% over 2013.

So much for the Hollywood boycott.

There was a boycott on Hollywood? Who organized that. I didn't hear about it.

Hollywood is definitely feeling the heat. About to make a pro-Trump biographical epic. I feel it coming.

I think they got the message when everyone boycotted Beauty and the Beast to the tune of $1 billion. That'll teach them to show two men dancing

I think this has more to do with the cringe inducing dialogue in the previews. It just didn't look like a good movie.

You need a link to tell you that people boycotting liberal actors and filmmakers affects those sales?

What sales have been affected? Bragging that a poorly reviewed movie is doing shitty at the box office is dumb. Separate politics from entertainment-life is a lot more enjoyable that way.

Do you think Hollywood is in for lean years?

Hollywood is being propped up by decades old comic book characters and sequels. They'll hang well until those movies run their course but Hollywood is definitely going to face lean years unless they improve their creativity. The youngest franchise making loads of money started in the 90s, Fast & Furious while the other sequels stared in the 70s with Alien and Star Wars.

Is this where we pretend the evangelical right didn't call for a boycott of the film because of the "gay" scene?

By all accounts, Tom Hanks is an all around great guy. But people want him to fail just because he has associated with the Obamas? Grow up.

Yep. There is little to no interest in anything liberal Hollywood is putting out outside of established properties.
