What gives the Feds the right to sieze so much of state land?

Siezed from whom? Mexico? The Feds owned that land since the time it was ceded by Mexico. Nevada has NEVER owned it and willingly disclaimed any right to it when it was admitted as a state.

It's easy to understand why so many people are bat shite crazy... they don't take the time to learn the facts, as you obviously didn't.

Um.... Sorry dog fricked. Technically it was all owned by the Native Americans first and was then taken away. I figured you would atleast know what your own party believes on this.

My respect for you is immeasurable too RCD.

If ever like the inveterate misanthrope Rex or the inveterate Racist Atl, I love the concept of Mankind but hate all the actual men and seek their destruction and impoverishment through State Coercion, I beg you, to give me that double blast.

Wait a sec... So the injuns had the land stolen by the hombres, then it was taken by the honkies. This was all bad and horrible until a half honkie/brotha came to power and wants it all for himself. Then a honkie rancher with native born beefs goes against the ruler and this is bad again? Ok. I think I figured it all out.

Rex let me tell u a little bit of what I know as fact, the company that I hire people for was awarded a contract to supply the labor to build a gold processing plant at a mine in northern Nevada with in the last year. This plant and mine is on Federal land. It's owners are family of 2 US senators and may even have more senator owners. This is what's going on here. We are being used by both parties in DC and it has to stop!

Well I doubt you have gone to the trouble of figuring out how and when it became federal land.

I'll ask you again. Why should the Feds be entitled to so much state land throughout the U.S.? What is the justification?

Yellowstone is beautiful. Why don't you go claim it for yourself?

The Feds may have too much land. Maybe not enough. Is that a matter for a Nevada rancher to take into his own hands with the force of arms? Are we a nation of laws or just individual wants? Suppose you and Mr. Bundy want the same patch of land... what then?

well i don't think he'd be taking up arms if his cattle weren't stolen. that is an oft- forgotten variable in these threads

isn't he arming himself to protect the remainder?

His cattle weren't stolen. They were seized under court order, just as assets are seized for non-payment of debts all across this country every day.

Also, he himself said the matter wasn't just about the grazing fees and the cows, but about the larger picture of state and personal sovereignty of the land and about freedom, apple pie, and the rest of the American way.

Not stolen, just "seized".

Statists are just totally hopeless.

If you're referring to Harry Reid... Harry Reid is a member of the Senate. The BLM is an agency of the Executive branch, not of the Senate. Get your facts straight.

So you would have me believe this is all a coincidence?

I have some cattle grazing/solar panel land I would like to sell you in Nevada.

Well if we are going to use that logic...

Dick Chaney was once an employee of Halliburton.

"I never inhaled"

"If I had had a son"

Oops. Gotta little off track there.
