Certainly, Bundy is a flawed person and not completely in the right. But, he doesn't have to be. Being a complacent law-abiding citizen isn't what he represents.
What he does represent is someone brave (or stupid) enough to be a shining symbol of saying "enough is enough" to the bullies in our government that treats a fair number of its citizens pretty damn shabbily.
That is why he's garnering such wide support. This incident clearly shows just how much many are craving that brave out-front declaration of "enough is enough".

Although I have not come to a true decision on this situation it does do the following:
It shows us the true reason why the FEDs/Left want to destroy the 2A. The citizens ability to defend against tyranny scares statist, commies, liberals and power hungry politicians.
This image of the event is very powerful. It makes me proud to be an American and scared at the same time.
This country needs a shift back to the Constitution loving people who built it with less Fed gov power and more states/individual rights and responsibility...you know, kinda like how it was founded.
ETA: We will see the .gov come back when they Rancher is not supported and cause Waco #2.

I cannot wait until this same exact thing has to happen for the Keystone Pipeline project. A right of way refusal by a stubborn farmer, or a needed compressor station on private land owned for generations. I'm willing to bet the response from these "patriots" then will be crickets

Well, this is apples and oranges really. The property owner would require compensation/lease paid by the PRIVATE (TransCanada) company that owns the KEYSTONE PIPELINE.

If the dealings with the pipeline is kept private concerning the land owners and the money is right then I see less chance of what you say happening. If the government tries to start interjecting their typical bs into the negotiations, then trouble ahead.

Many have decided they will give their lives(since we all die) to stop the government. Thru the yrs many have died on foreign soil fighting against bad government. Now it's on our on soil and it's ours. It's time many of us understand,we're all gonna die so at least die fighting for our kids and grand kids future. frick the US Goverment!

Private companies cannot operate this way, dude. They won't be allowed to. They will have to pay a fair share. Those of us in the %53 percent have a much different/better understanding of what "fair share" really means.

You're comparing an issue involving private land, and private companies with Harry Reid's attempt at a public land grab in Nevada?
If it comes up in Keystone, it will be settled in the courts.

It doesn't matter. Both situations involve the concept of Imminent domain. Like it or not the government can take your property, any property, public or private, and use it how they see fit. They will offer you "fair market value" and you can take it or get forced off your property.
