If they'd make insurers pay us without so much damn paperwork and hassle, I'd be able to charge at least half as much as I do currently simply by reducing my staff by half or more. People cannot fathom how much of their healthcare dollars go to non-healthcare related activities. And it's been worse under Obamacare as this exchange plans have nickel and dimed us. Not to mention the numerous times they just didn't pay us for services rendered. It's all bullshite. And physicians are tired of being the one they blame for costs. I just make suggestions and the insurer decides what I can do and what I can charge!

I honestly don't know how it can be fixed without destroying the current system economically. It's not like providers are reaping record profits. Overhead goes up and up every year and reimbursement has been stagnant for a decade. Now we are seeing cuts as Obamacare plans are paying less and less every year.

One easy solution is for physicians to be allowed a tax credit for giving care to the uninsured or underinsured. Base it off Medicare rates. Pt gets treated. Provider benefits and no need for an insurance company to add administrative costs and headaches to the system. Of course, it could be abused just like anything. But it would be a much easier way to care for uninsured without adding a middle man.

I wont vote for anymore republicans. Im getting to the point of voting for democrats just to spite them. The only thing they care about is reelection. We need term limits...one term only for congress
