A real hero.

It's a damn shame his country doesn't want to protect people who try to do the right thing.

Snowden is the whistle blower Barack Obama vowed to protect as President, only he did no such thing.

Under the 2012 NDAA’s Sec. 1021, Pres. Obama agreed to give the military the power to arrest and hold Americans without the writ of habeas corpus, although he promised with that year’s signing statement that his administration would not abuse that privilege.
But..but..but..., he promised he wouldn't use it!

Obama signs law authorizing indefinite detention of Americans without a trial.

WAKE THE frick UP!

Those pesky signing statements the liar in chief hammered the previous guy over.

Their lol.

This is like basically saying sure, you're ok with cops looking inside your house without a warrant or even probable cause and risk them fricking you over and coercing something out of you without understanding the situation and your rights to due process.

You enable the militarization of police.

Wow part deux...Basically you're saying you have no problem with warrantless searches of your house because you have nothing to hide....why even have a constitution - you have nothing to hide! WTF, bub? Bow down before the one you serve....we need less citizens like you and more like Snowden....wow...all I can really say.

Right, they don't need to, they can just listen in...but maybe someday with more pliable folks like yourself the cops can one day just walk into your house whenever they wish because "terrorists" "public safety"...you've got nothing to hide.

And you say this and proclaim it nutty in light of the fact that someone just revealed a secret govt operation involving warrantless spying on any and all citizens. Seriously...GTFO moron (moran to you).

Hey, I get not obsessing over it. I don't, but when it's in my face it evokes a strong response. And there's a huge gulf between not obsessing and your old, tired subservient position of "I have nothing to hide so search without warrant whenever you like state!"

The govt is secretly (excuse me was until someone brave did something) spying on us...don't obsess and stop living, just acknowledge and lend your voice to those telling the gov - fricking stop.

what is? its the truth and says they were spying on people like you and I. They have mass amounts of data on each of us through our cell phone records, internet records etc.

Face it. No matter how you spin Snowden, he's a pussy. Plain and simple. Snowden's like the annoying little kid who starts a fight then, just before he's fixing to get his arse kicked, runs and hides behind the teacher.

I fail to see why, if a person sees an abuse of power, he should give up his entire life to let his fellow Americans know about it. As it is, he DID give up direct contact with every friend and acquaintance he's ever known. Now, maybe for a bunch of TD keyboard rangers with no friends, that's no big deal. But, to most people, that does kind of suck.

My question is why are we being drip fed Snowden's "revelations?" Why not just release all of it? This whole thing smacks of machiavellian manipulation.

My knee jerk reaction to it is that Snowden, having lived in America, understands that our attention span is about 15 minutes. Moreover, he understood that if ALL of it came out, the media would obviously identify certain big things and focus entirely on that. Doing it the way he's doing it makes EVERYTHING thing he releases a story in its own right.

So. Bottom line is, he has extended by a GREAT DEAL how long Americans have talked about this issue over if it all hit at once AND, he's ensured it ALL got it's 15 minutes.

Plus it makes dolts like Decatur defend ever more outlandish facts.
