Women are currently, according to the law of the land, accepted into military service. If anyone doesn't like that, they should change the law.

That said, the military should respect women as fellow service members. The US military has a long and very proud history of integrating all varieties of citizens (and non-citizens) into service and meeting its mission requirements (which don't and shouldn't include social experimentation for political purposes). It has not always been perfect but, at the end of the day, the US military offers supreme examples of how to bring units into cohesion, regardless of the make up of a unit's individual members. Not that this process has always been expeditious or perfect but it has set standards that other organizations pale against.

Beyond all that, there should be a single set of standards for all soldiers relative to the roles they are asked to undertake in service of their country - no exceptions - and those standards should reasonably reflect the requirements of the given job. If anyone -male or female- cannot meet such standards, they can't -and shouldn't- have the job.
