The Vice footage of the Charlottesville protest

I actually had not seen any actual footage of the night-time march with the torches until yesterday. Vice had some footage (that they subtitled) that seemed to show just outright anti-semitic displays. I can't remember exactly what they claimed the marchers were saying, but it had to do with stuff like "we won't submit to the jews" and other stuff about "blood". Question: is this true? Was the march that outwardly despicable?

I'd take any imagery vice posts with a grain of salt. While I don't doubt that stuff was there, it leaves doubt as to how prolific it actually was.

goldennugget found these parts of the protest quite agreeable.

It seemed to me the guys were just not wanting to see the European white blood erased from America. they voiced that they are tired of seeing Gay marriage and the like being shoved down our throats by the liberals...illegal immigration and so on..."come on in"...
they just didn't want to see our heritage erased...they don't like the changes they see...

The KKK/neo-Nazis have been doing irrelevant marches and protests for years. People used to ignore them and they fizzled away. Why do these people need to be attacked now? Why not ignore them?

Yeah it was despicable. That's why EVERYONE has called the white supremacist/neo-Nazis in Charlottesville racist, evil, and repugnant humans. Some people that have called them that have been held up as brave American heroes for saying such. Other people that have called them that have been called racist Nazi-sympathizers.

I don't hate anyone, Jews included, but it's not like this is some new thing or just totally inexplicable.
Prior to the horrors of the third Reich, the JQ was a common topic for debate and not taboo.
The current attitude towards anti-semitism, especially in Europe, are a society-wide inoculation against anything like what Hitler did.
Of course this feeds right into the conspiracy theories held by anti-semites.

This is the operative question.
From a population of 300+ million people you can find a couple hundred who do stupid and disgusting stuff all the time.
If the TV makes a huge deal of it, they are encouraging other scumbags to get their 15 minutes of fame. Ignore it and it will go away - or better still mock it without showing them at all.
This is just a free reality show for the networks to use as sacrifice to their ratings gods.

Well that does distinguish them from the antifa scum cowards.
But these folk are probably not as smart as the atifa scum in raw intelligence. They probably live very miserable lives, not being paid $30 an hour for their riots like the antifa get.
And they probably do think they have a lot of popular support = 'everyone I know thinks like me.' = same thought process as CNN journalists.
