VA administrators say a hospital in Wisconsin may have accidentally infected 592 veterans with hepatitis and HIV

According to WEAU News 13, 592 veterans who received care at the Tomah VA in Wisconsin may have been infected with several types of disease due to violations of infection control procedures. In other words, they received the horrible level of care we have sadly come to expect from the VA.

I have ignored the orders from my supervisors this year and have intentionally NOT infected any of my VA patients with any deadly diseases.

If I would have had to rely on the VA to diagnose and then treat me for my cancer, I would have died 6 years ago.

They're just pitiful and I bleed for my brothers who have to depend on the VA.

I do not, but I've been with the VA for less than a year, perhaps I'll receive my indoctrination at a later time.

Hospital errors are the third leading cause of death in the U.S. You can find more info on this topic and ratings for your local hospitals (not VA ones though) here: LINK

Yep, any insight on resolution attempts?

The Tomah hospital actions were criminal not accidental.

I think all government employees (including the President, Senators, and congressmen) should be required to only receive treatment in VA hospitals.

That shite would get fixed overnight.

Nah. It would just make it almost impossible to hire government workers. And it would mean sick Congressional members and president.

Centralized panning is its flaw. It's structural. Can't be cured by motivating those running it.

These guys continue to get f'ed over. It's a travesty and people should be in jail.

A good friend of mine who served in Iraq went from 85% disability, down to 35% and is now back up to 90% because one of the doctors who determine what your disability level is was getting kickbacks and was subsequently fired.

The doctors don't determine your disability level. The determine your diagnosis. Someone else then looks at the exam results and determines the disability level. Now, the doctor might have lied as far as how severe a disability was, but the doctor didn't determine the disability percent. The doctor influenced it.
