Less liberals and future terrorists want to visit the US?

Sounds like MAGA to me.

And trading 1,000 Carrier/Intel/etc jobs for 1,000 burger flippers and souvenir hockers sounds like an overall win for the economy.

That makes absolutely no sense. Why do these jobs have to be traded?

With all due respect toddy, someone who knows about this stuff will tell you 100 times out of 100 that the storng dollar has a lot to do with this.

Also, how pathetic must someone's life be to not visit a country because of a politics?

How about so facts from a guy on the ground...I spent the winter on South Padre Island and the weak Mexican peso has had a big impact down there....and it's not only the the normal tourism from south of the border, but also even Walmart sales were way down for Xmas...I spoke with the store manager...worst year he could remember in Port Isabel...now I have moved on to my favorite beach in the US, Destin Florida...there are fewer RVs than usual, but there are some European tourists on the beach, but people are just not spending as much as in years gone by...the strong dollar has had some affect on foreigners, especially middle class Mexicans who really like visiting the US...but the peso was cut in half and so their buying power was crushed...

not something that would affect tourism in just the last few months

The average from the past 3 months is easily 3-5% higher than any other 3 month stretch. Certainly reasonable for 6% decline depending on the time range they are using.

The recent uptick in violence in all of our major cities could play a part as well.

BTW, the idea that refugees from the middle east on net provide more to us than we give to them is absurd. Nobody believes that. How are skill-less, penniless refugees considered tourists?

When the government pays you to come to a country to escape another country, you are not a touris.t

The dollar has been strong for a while. Why is it just now happening after Trump becomes President?

You and your boyfriend Iosh need to coordinate your stories. You're contradicting each other.
