The tone of this thread is decidedly different from what we've been hearing on one of the purported "conservative" radio shows here locally.

When the invasion first started, we heard preposterous premises such as "Putin is doing this to get rid of the "Deep State" and corruption in the Ukraine."

Can it possibly get any better than that one?

Guests like Josh Burnstein and some callers basically saying that the women and children who are suffering the mutilations, abject fear and terror, and worse are getting what they deserve, because others over there are corrupt.

And there it was. Some who purport to be on the so-called Right actually stroking a black Russian Bolshevik who has somehow rationalized to himself that he should invade a country that really was no threat to him, using specious excuses such as he was concerned about NATO and he needs "buffer zones" for his country.

But really, since when is a black Russian Bolshevik so offended and outraged about authoritarianism of any kind, by anyone, other than as a contrivance for replacing it with a version of his own.

More likely, he's near the end of his journey if the reports on his health are true, and he wants to go out with a bang, with the false image he wants to remain with the Russian people that he at least initiated an attempt at reprising the lost soviet "republics."

Didn't we hear him say, "This is not just about the Ukraine." Lots of conjecture hidden in that one.

But for those on the so-called Right who seem intent on stroking this black Russian Bolshevik Ras-Putin, it's eerily reminiscent of the Left over so many years of their schmoozing and coozing over Russian leaders from Khrushchev to Gorbachev (where the love affair really got scandalous).

Then curiously that one-sided admiration society ended abruptly late one night in November of 2015.

Now some on the Right have taken up the mantle for Ras-Putin.


In fairness, after what's gone on in this country for the last 6-plus years, do we really have the right to call anyone corrupt.

Hell, their name comes from the Norsemen. The Ruse came from Scandinavia and invaded and settled. Granted, they are diverse among Indo-Asians to eastern Siberians, Slavs, Tartars and other Eastern Europeans.

He wasn’t a huge fan of the Jews. I believe he had more respect for the Nazis.

The Romans (Byzantines) had a profound influence on Russia.

Put our people in OUR land to protect our borders, prevent 7,000 plus crossing the Mexican border daily, put our people and the 40 trillion we've sent to Ukraine on the east coast too shoot down anything they may try, spend some of that 40 billion on problems we have here, like the homeless population, security,etc... and like Trump said make America great again. Our country worries too much about big bothering the world and not enough about Americans

Russians hate woke BS and are very pro-family and very much against homosexuality, trans stuff, and political correctness and basically hate Western style liberals and many of them are even quite religious (that really never went away under communism and has come back with a vengeance in the last 30 years).

But some of you hate Russians exactly.... why? Because they invaded a country that you are told by Western media is some kind of bastion of democratic principles? (Ukraine is actually literally the most corrupt country in all Europe.)

Don't get me wrong here - I am not defending Putin's invasion of Ukraine - he did invade a neighboring country after all, but the Russian people themselves seem more honorable to me than, say, most Europeans and a lot of dumbass Americans even. They are not the same communist Soviet era people that the mainstream media and the government is trying to get you to believe and they very well could be one of the last big countries to resist Western style woke culture and overall lack of values. They sure as hell don't allow a bunch of pinko feminist lesbians with green hair to run around and call everyone a bunch of racists. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Russians, for the most part, hate communism about as much as most Americans do.

So again I ask... why all the hate for regular Russians?

You hit the nail on the head. The globalists want Russia to fall because they are not beholden to monetary control like we are here. Russia went through a period of de-Stalinization. They do not like communism. Putin himself describes Stalin as "primitive"

This is all about wiping out a sovereign nation. Globalists do not want independent nations.
