unending gotcha attempts on Trump

The DNC and the media's unending gotcha attempts are a huge factor in creating the momentum that won Trump the election. When continuous untruths and nefarious attempts by the DNC to paint Trump as a violent, racist, anti Semitic misogynist were exposed, it motivated not only Trump supporters but people who don't believe in dirty politics, to get out and vote against the obviously corrupt political machine. As these efforts by the extreme Left continue, so does Trump's popularity continue to climb, again, not only by the Trump supporters, but also people who are increasingly disenchanted by the dishonest media. and the underhanded tactics employed by the extreme Left.

The problem with the system isn't us. The problem is politicians saying what they think we want to hear to get elected and then, moral high horsing once elected and voting and debating on ridiculous wedge issues like trans bathrooms at Target to get themselves re-elected. Instead of serving the American people, they serve themselves.

it is also not Trump's job to form this narrative that only his words or certain news outlets are true

Yes it is. Any politician will try to sell that their version of the truth is the one you ought to listen to.

We, as citizens, have to sort out the competing claims. The media should be our allies in this (if not our surrogates). Instead they contribute to the problem.

I'm sorry that people are mean to trump :(

It's not that they're mean, it's the lack of important things they focus on. And the fact that those unimportant things are so pathetically plentiful that people turn a blind eye to them.

YA, you've been here as long as me. Do you remember years ago when there were posters here who insisted that the mainstream media did not have any bias toward liberals or the Dem party?

I guess they started to feel stupid and dropped the charade about 2 years ago.

Yeah, this is a legit criticism but I think you might need to give Trump some credit on creating this environment.
