The Palestinians already have a homeland. It's called Jordan.

Jordan has already integrated the Palestinians. Approximately 3 million Jordanians are of "Palestinian origin". There are an additional 2 million Palestinians living in refugee camps. Jordan, without Palestinians, ceases to even be Jordan. They are one and the same.
A solution that creates a Palestinian homeland steeped in Islamist-style hatred for Jews is no solution. Sure it sounds good. Israel has a country, the Palestinians have a country, both live in peace and harmony, side by side. But sadly, the Palestinians just don't have it in them to allow the Israelis to live in peace. A two-state solution is well-meaning Utopian fantasy of Western idealists who don't understand the depth of the ancient hatreds. It's even more far-fetched than well-meaning Neoconservative fantasies about "spreading Democracy" in the middle east because "they want Democracy as much as anybody else". No they don't and The Palestinians don't want peace with Jews either.
With the walls built and the borders secure, Israel now has all the leverage. The rather sad but RATIONAL solution is for Israel to continue the settlements, establish their borders (and buffer zones) without apology and demand that Palestinians live peacefully within Israel (as a million plus Israeli-Arab citizens already do) or face expulsion to Arab lands. It is precisely this leverage that Israel now possesses (especially with Trump coming in) that allows Israel to withstand the political pressure and continue un-sentimentally what is in their own best interest. It is also this obvious death of "the two state solution" that has caused the Obama administration to completely melt down in the last week.
Israel has a right to exist. And they aren't going anywhere. The "two-state solution" has failed. If the Palestinians can't accept this sad reality, those who refuse to live peacefully within Israel, their future lies in Jordan and other Arab lands. The burden is not on Israel anymore, no matter how many UN resolutions are passed. The burden should now be shifted to the Arab world.

Russia is for a two-state solution. Are they western idealists?

No. And neither is Iran. If your goal is to undermine Israel, you support the magical-thinking "Two State solution". It has failed. It's time to give it up.

Even the Palestinians know this is bullshite.
They only play this narrative as part of their taqiya strategy.

The Jordanians don't want that trash in their country either.

One if the worst posts I've seen on this topic in 2016. Completely and utterly ignorant of reality. Pure supplication to the state of Israel, while absolutely devoid of any real understanding at all. Ignorance must be bliss for you Israel Firsters, because knowledge is mere a few keystrokes away.

I normally appreciate Pimp too, but some people are really surprising me on this issue.

How much do we give the Palestinians now???
Carter started that.
It is welfare that should end.

Some people suck at things in life. The Palestinians have never had their own country and have sucked at trying to achieve any type of peace. They sucked in Roman times, they sucked in Turkish times, they sucked during crusader kingdoms, they sucked again under the Ottomans , they sucked under the British mandate period and they suck now.
They suck at being a functional nation. They suck really bad.

Meh, Pimp is a sophist and a pseudo intellectual. Any time one tries to get to real meat of the issue he launches into a long winded conservative version of a "muh feels" speech or throws out anti semite like it's skittles.

Imagine you and your ancestors lived in Louisiana for almost 1,000 years. Imagine that all of a sudden a group of Native Americans say that Louisiana is their land by their god' s proclamation and force your ancestors to flee to the Caribbean islands. Lousiana would still be considered their home, not the Caribbean islands right?

We have basically been bribing the Palestinians and the Egyptians since the Camp David Accord.
We should end payments to both and let the Israelis deal with them both.

Oh look the first Jew hater. Shitnugget will be along shortly to explain why the Israelis should be driven into the sea because of their inherent evilness.

Summary
Since the establishment of limited Palestinian self-rule in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the mid-1990s, the U.S. government has committed more than $5 billion in bilateral economic and non-lethal security assistance to the Palestinians, who are among the world’s largest per capita recipients of international foreign aid. Successive Administrations have requested aid for the Palestinians in apparent support of at least three major U.S. policy priorities of interest to Congress:
? Promoting the prevention or mitigation of terrorism against Israel from Hamas and other militant organizations.
? Fostering stability, prosperity, and self-governance in the West Bank that may incline Palestinians toward peaceful coexistence with Israel and a “two-state solution.”
? Meeting humanitarian needs.
Since June 2007, these U.S. policy priorities have crystallized around the factional and geographical split between the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. From FY2008 to the present, annual Economic Support Fund (ESF) assistance to the West Bank and Gaza Strip has averaged around $400 million, with that amount divided between U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-administered project assistance (through grants and contracts) and budget support for the Palestinian Authority (PA). Annual International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (INCLE) non-lethal assistance for PA security forces and the criminal justice sector in the West Bank has averaged around $100 million. In line with Obama Administration requests, baseline funding levels for both ESF (including ESF-Overseas Contingency Operations, or ESF-OCO) and INCLE have declined since FY2013, with FY2017 requested annual assistance amounts of $327.6 million for ESF and $35 million for INCLE. Because of congressional concerns that, among other things, U.S. aid to the Palestinians might be diverted to Palestinian terrorist groups, the aid is subject to a host of vetting and oversight requirements and legislative restrictions. Additionally, the United States is the largest single-state donor to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
A number of issues relating to U.S. aid to the Palestinians have relevance for Congress, including:
? The general effectiveness of aid and possible impacts of informal congressional holds or potential changes in assistance levels or types within both a regional and an international context.
? Concerns regarding ongoing Israeli-Palestinian violence, the reliability and capacity of U.S.-supported PA security forces, and PA-Israel security coordination.
? If and how to support a PA government approved by Hamas, such as the government that was installed in June 2014 pursuant to a Fatah-Hamas agreement and was partly changed—apparently without Hamas input—in 2015.
? Addressing Palestinian initiatives with respect to international fora such as the United Nations and International Criminal Court (ICC).
? Dealing with the multifaceted security, political, economic, and humanitarian challenges presented by the Gaza Strip.
